TV Series

@quiet_riot watch it yet? Still have watery eyes 10 minutes later.

Yeah - still digesting it.

FWIW, I think they're dead. Nora died in the machine, Laurie died in ep6, and Kevin 'found' her in Oz after he too has passed on.

- the departed, Nora says she saw them, so maybe they are in limbo as was alluded to earlier?
- mental illness, maybe, just maybe, one (or both) of them are just mental. I took the little things like Nora asking if Kevin had ever seen a goat sacrifice as her testing and revealing what had been real and what hadn't.
- Jesus, I thought the biblical stuff was the answer when Nora took the sins of others (off the goat), and put them on herself - that was the bit that made me break, came close once or twice during Kevin/Nora exchanges though.

Think I'll watch it all again over the summer!

@ADegenerate - just had a though, post your favourite scene. I'll do mine shortly.

Explanations from Lindelof...read at your own risk. Think I'd rather not have read it. Your choice. (I'll post again shortly) but first ....

do you believe Nora when she said she went over?

I think maybe she believes it, but like I said, I think she died in the event chamber, and her new 'reality' is heaven.
You gonna read that article or stay away?

I think they went with a nihilistic point of view and deliberately wanted to paint the religious stuff as bullshit the whole time (matt talking about how can he talk to his parishioners, the nun screwing the guy, to name a few). I like your idea about both of them being mental, didn't look at it that way but I like that theory. Hard for me to discuss things bc I know what the intentions were from the creators and I don't want to ruin it for you. [/spoilers]

I'd have to think long about my favorite scene. I'll have to get back to you on that.
