TV Series

I'm actually enjoying 'Superman & Lois'!! It's very 'elseworld' in its approach, which is probably the only way it could have gone!

I, even, like this iteration of 'Superman'!

So far, so good!

Just watched a trailer and it looks decent, not really a fan of the new superhero films but this looks different.

Loved the programme all the way through but can't see any mileage in bringing it back. Look what happened when they tried to relaunch Roseanne. Best left alone
Yeah but that ended up being launched without Roseanne herself, didn't it? (Because she's a nutcase).

Frasier worked because of the three main male characters, centred around one running joke. Surely they can't write more stories about Frasier getting a new girlfriend every week, which is what happened when that running joke was ended. I recall that episode when they went to Cliff's retirement do and some of the Cheers characters were brought back - it was just awful.

I agree best left alone.

I think it was launched with Roseanne Barr who made some unsavoury comments about something I can't remember so they tried to carry on without her but didn't work.
Agree about the Cheers episode. The only one that ever worked was with Lilith

I'm impressed as it's quite grown up.

On a further plus note, I loved the homage to Christopher Reeves' 'Superman' character version at the start before the role becomes the show's.

Honestly, give it a go!

Fucked Lupin off after the scene in the first episode where the gangster's muscle hung him over the balcony in the flat.

Beyond shit that scene.

Haha, if That's what bothered you, itnis definitely not for you, there will be plenty to annoy you.

Watching it tonight with the wife, hopefully if I like it they don't go cancelling it like they always do with stuff that I like ;)

Just noticed that Wayne has been picked up by Amazon Prime. Seemed to be some posters on here who thought highly of it? Maybe it will get resurrected if there is enough interest. Will give it a try soon.

Very good,a solid 8/10

Series 2 was wank by comparison.
Wasn't a fan of the 1st series but that was because it didn't stay faithful to the book. S2 wasn't that bad, it was a weird storyline, but if you stuck with it it did get better.
They're in talks for a third season.

Lol. Not Sat1, unfortunately. Ahh, I miss the days of making sneaky video recordings from softcore porn films on German channels. Sky ruined everything when they went digital.

I'm going to work for NBC's Peacock platform, so I'll split my time between Philadelphia, New York and Stamford, CN, so I've decided on NJ. Convenient and cheap!

Berlin is a strange one. As you say, it's an interesting mix of areas. I have a lot of friends here who love the grungy vibe of places like Kreuzburg. Crazy that you can then walk for 5 minutes and be in affluent areas like Schöneberg or Prenzlauerberg.

Did you live in San Francisco or just take an extended trip?
That’s some journey you’re going in with your work.
Which line/dept are you in if you don’t mind me asking?
Good luck with the move & let us know how it goes. I would’ve loved to have moved to the US at one stage.

My first trip to San Francisco was a 2 week hol staying at a distant relatives in Oakland, though he worked in SF & it’s only a short BART trip across. He ran a dance record label (a few actually). Quite a ‘character’.
This was in the 90’s just as the internet was breaking and I was a bit wide eyed seeing what it could do.

Loved it so much there I faxed my resignation over (rare moment of my suppressed spontaneity) and stayed there a few more weeks.
Went back a few years later when the (ex) missus was pregnant with our first child.

Fascinated by the place, but rather crazy.
