TV Series

If anyone stumbles across a series on Netflic called Between then switch it off before you start it, you might end up putting your telly through it's that bad. I'm saying this because my wife loved it and I thought it was the worst case of drivel ever put on the screens.

After a mysterious disease kills every resident over 22 years old, survivors of a town must fend for themselves when the government quarantines them

If I wanted to watch a load of cheese dicked young lads acting the **** during a quarantine I would sit in my front window and watch the covidiot family across the road. Thanks for the heads up.

I watched 5 episode's so have given it a good go, but found it boring, won't be watching the rest.

Watching Brassic2 (brilliant by the way) and by coincidence Dominic West is in it and only just realised he’s in the wire as McNulty

I’m watching The Test (Australian cricket team documentary ) as much as they’re our rivals it’s a fantastic watch

I watched Gangs of London episode 5 last night. Wow what an episode

The Wire is one of the greatest series ever made. Same characters (more or less) throughout on the police side, and both short and long term players on the side of the gangs, and each series focussing on a different aspect of the war on drugs (series 1 - dealers and street corners, series 2 - the docks and importation, series 3 - local politics, series 4 - the schools system, series 5 - the media). Series 5 was the weakest due to a writers’ strike at the time it was made, but it’s still magnificent regardless

For something a little deeper, After Life is good, so far anyway.

edit: homecoming on prime is also very good. a bit more serious and intense, but well written well acted drama. only one season as well so it isnt a huge commitment.

Halfway through season 2 of “Dead to me” at the moment. Pretty much as you describe. A sort of American version of “Guilt”. Well written and good performances from Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as the two leads. Solid 7/10 stuff and I’ve certainly enjoyed it so far

Series 2 is the weakest imo mate.

The white characters, apart from the Greeks, are all badly acted and badly casted, especially White Mike and Ziggy.

The rest of the whole show is fucking tremendous.

Being a big fan of Michael Connelly I've got ground to Bosch on Amazon, very impressed with it. The lad who played Marlo in the wire is in it as Harry Bosch's partner. ( crime thriller )

Guilt was decent enough, a bit darker, both the guys are highly likeable. Never even thought of making the connection, but you are right plenty of similarities
