The book is very good too, though it’s by Evan Wright rather than Simon.

While I am here, I may as well mention a few other series that are of a similarly high standard:

Did you spot the internet address on the back of the speedboat?

Tbh I gave up on the show. I thought the way they tried to make it in a late sixties manner might be a good thing but it began to annoy me as did the lead female character spouting about sexism every two minutes.

I only watched The Responder (quite good I thought) and The Tourist (okay - that's the one where the guy is stuck in the outback). Time was well received but I'm not a fan of prison dramas so didn't watch it, and Vigil was set on a nuclear sub, but think it was mixed responses and it didn't seem my type of programme at the time.

No I didn’t mate but was probably preoccupied (probably with the female lead ;-) ) , I didn’t mind that late 60’s thing, maybe because I was used to it being from that era, but I know what you mean, it was a bit like watching ‘The Champions ‘ and suchlike.

Still slowly getting through the Wire. Loved the first 2 seasons. I’m currently on episode 9 of Season 3. It’s a little slow going IMO
 
I forgot to watch Drive to Survive before the F1 restarted so speed watched it (zroooom) over the past few days. Its as awesome as the previous seasons.
