Season 1and 2 were hilarious, 3, 4 and 5 were awful.

Just finished the last episode, brilliant telly.

I'm almost at the end of this show.

This show has the right weight, pace and direction.

It's the best piece of drama Chris Pratt has done. He doesn't overshadow the piece, like most movie stars would do.

It's so similar in pacing to 'The Old Man' that I make both of them my favourite shows of the year. I can't see them being toppled.

'The Terminal List' makes me want to read the book if the show is this well crafted!

The Boys was shit. Feel like it's really started to outstay it's welcome and things tend to go around in circles. Antony Starr as Homelander is still the best bit about it but the rest has just become a bit dull.

I watched the first three episodes last night. It’s been good so far.

Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely still recommend it. Mostly my frustration with the last episode of season three rather than a comment on the quality of it. It's still mostly a really good show.

Yeah.
Many a potentially good series'has been ruined by less than great acting.

Please do give it a watch. Like 'The Old Man', it plays out like a long film.

The screenplay adaptation for these shows are exceptional, in my opinion, to keep you engaged and you may well reject the view you were given.

Another JK Simmons sci-fi series - Night Sky - has been cancelled. Night Sky was fantastic IMO. The series does come to a satisfying season conclusion so don't let the fact that it's been canceled affect your decision whether or not to watch the show.

The acting from Simmons and Sissy Spacek make this easily one of my favorite sci fi series ever.

JK Simmons previously starred in the excellent sci fi series Counterpart - highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the sci fi shows that feature Simmons don't seem to appeal the the younger audience which garners more revenue. A shame. Because both Counterpart - and especially Night Sky - are both excellent series which deserved to have been renewed.

I’ve really enjoyed the stuff with JK in (kinda reminds me of SWP’s back in about 50 years lol) he’s a very good actor imo.

Still got one episode to go but really enjoyed ’The Old Man’ .

Keep with it, I’m still enjoying it. I get the point to an extent that it resets itself a bit at times but there’s still storyline progression going on, some brilliant dialogue and individual scenes.

I liked that is moved from just butch/homlander and hughie/Annie and gave more time in the story to MM and particulary Kimiko and frenchie.

Series that leave the second leads as 2D to focus on the main stars tend to become stale.

But I suppose some just want to see Karl Urban call people cunts while anthony starr laser beams some brains for 45 mins a time

I'm a fan of JK Simmons.. I can just about tolerate Sissy Spacek
