TV Series

The diplomat season 3. Its one of those easy watches and easy to binge if you want that. Enjoyed it but it does seem to be falling into the trap of feeling like it has to be escalating the stakes every season and its now in danger of becoming a bit too much.

Going from it being about a diplomat who obviously has limited power, primarily dealing with their counter parts, to the story revolving around the prime minister and U.S president, it's ramped it right up and with a season 4 confirmed and set up, there's nowhere else for it to logically go a step up again other than to go to farcical extremes which I fear it might well do.

Kind of agree but the series is an easy and enjoyable watch. Fun to see the relationship between Hal and Kate switch roles in this season.
 
Enjoyed season 1 of Project Blue Book, but not enough to dive straight into series 2. Struggling to really get into anything at the moment and find a series that really grips you and you just cant wait to watch that next episode.
 
The Residence on Netflix.

It's a comedy about a possible murder/suicide committed in the US White House.

At times, it's absolutely hilarious. But often the jokes slightly missed for me. The acting and "who dunnit" mystery kept me watching.

8/10 - recommended.
 
Enjoying the German series Murder Mindfully on Netflix which is a dark comedy.
Never thought I would use the words “Enjoying, German and comedy ” in the same sentence.
 
Apols if this has been mentioned (missed a lot of this thread) but the Chair Company is the best show I've seen in ages.

A more dialled down Tim Robinson, but still batshit. It's a beautiful piece of art.

Caught EP 2 Monday night (they're released weekly) and it's just as joyful as the first.

Feels like dark comedy, slapstick mixed with independent cinema from the 90s.
Every detail is considered (the score in the background is perfect).

Sky have relentlessly been pushing their re-boot of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. It seems they're into the 5th series already, that I was totally unaware of until recently. I was a huge fan when Mark Lamarr and particularly Simon Amstell were the hosts, so thought I'd give it a watch.

My God, if any programme should have been consigned to history, it's this. Absolutely awful. Desperately trying to recreate the exact same format that was funny and relevant 30 years ago. I almost felt embarrassed for them.

Loved it then it went to shit
