TV Series

He's not Alfie Solomans but more brooding and dark, more like Tommy in that seething rage that seems to be bubbling just underneath but seems to be always calculating too, a good anti hero none the less. Give it a go mate, i think you'll like it, 2 episodes in. Lots of well known faces in the cast too.

Sneaky Pete is looking good as well, I'm about half way through the first series of that, Amazon released it last week.

Oh it's definitely up my street, I meant his reunion with Stephen Knight though, they're co-creators from I can see...

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

In my opinion the best comedy I've ever watched. It's on Netflix these days.

Not for the easily offended.

Not even up for debate, IMO.... The body of work, to be that consistent in 12 seasons is some going and I can't think of any show that comes near in terms of quality...

Maybe curb, which is also back this year!

I didnt realise Stephen Knight was involved but its bloody obvious now you've told me, I knew Hardy and his old man were involved in its creation.

I read that Knight has written the World War Z sequel, so that might be that rare thing where the sequel is better than the original, as the first one despite being OK was dogged with trouble/rewrites and reshoots, which resulted in a much changed ending and a bit of a disjointed film.

Birmingham's finest ;-)

Just started watching it. The first episode isn't good, so maybe skip it - the white people being awkward around black people has been done to death. The episode about the two guys settings g up the coach as a paedophile is very, very funny.

Not a bad summary and exactly how i see it, Stephen Graham also makes an apperance who i also rate as an actor, especially his role in Boardwalk (Al Capone), it's quality so far......

I was going to mention Curb after reading the first bit but then noticed you added it at the end. I'm not a great lover of American comedy but these two are the only ones that really make me belly laugh

Really enjoying Sneaky Pete, couple of episodes in but the premise is good, the cast is excellent as well, so the acting is top notch. Having the woman who was House's fake wife helps as well ;-)

I just watched the pilot last night and decided not to watch anymore of it. I do like the woman that plays his "Mum" though.
She's been in a few things, Justified and The Americans off the top of my head.

Give the first episode a go - further than the opening bit.

Sherlock. Just watched the last one, and what a pile of utter dog shite. So far up its own arse. Sherlock has a sister who he can't remember, who's taken over an asylum built on an island and some shite about a pet dog, and a crashing plane etc, etc. Possibly one of the worst bits of TV I've seen in a long time. The critics will love it as it's BBC and it's 'highbrow'.

Oh, and by far and away the worst ever Moriarty (even worse than the female Moriarty on Elementary) is back.

Watch it at your own peril.

Yep, bring back Cannon !

At least the female Moriarty in Elementary is the lovely Natalie Dorma, aka Margaery Tyrell

Oh aye, granted she's a nice looking woman. Quite like Watson in Elementary as well!

Sherlock was miles better than Elementary, but the US version has slowly worked its way to be as good if not better than the UK version (a bit due to getting better and a lot to do with the UK version getting worse)

I agree that Sunday was utter shite.

It was better early on, but crept up its own arse. I thought last week was pump as well. BBC need a rethink.

In fact, at this moment in time I'd say Backstrom is a better watch.
