Twå * ini at it again..

Don't worry about it. Our owners will have the best financial people working on this and even with our huge losses last season, if FFP had been in place, we still would have been within the guidlines.

Nothing to worry about. Our owners know what they are doing and Fifa/UEFA backtrack over anything when challenged legally. Look at this years UEFA Cup. Threw out Sion, Sion challenged in Courts and Won and now UEFA have to put back in

This 'excessive spending' thing pisses me off.

If you've got fuck all and owe ten grand on a credit card, going out for a lobster dinner with champagne is excessive spending.

If you've got millions and millions in the bank, it's like going down the chippy.

weird, i'm PSG on fifa 12 and i got beckham on a free, hate the **** in real life but it's only a game ;)

making every team only spend no more than the amount they make is a joke, that means like big supported teams like barca, united and madrid will always be the best while teams like bury will never have a chance to get better cos you need money to be good. the scum have millions of fans buying merchandise and stuff so they will be getting loads more than say blackburn. blackburn would never have a chance to have money too buy players which would make them succesful and get more fans.

its a joke

"...Manchester City...with their Arab owners..."

Anyone else detect the feint whiff of Gallic racism?

"If you set the rules for everyone, they have to apply for specific clubs."

What the fuck does that mean. If you set rules for everyone, they apply to everyone not just specific clubs.

So to this end, is Platini finally openly admitting an agenda within UEFA that is patently anti City?

I'm looking forward to the day Sheikh Mansour's legal team slap a restriction of trade writ on this deluded little fucker.

That's a pretty poor example to use. For a start, Sion actually broke the rules. The only reason they are pursuing this is because their own has thrown a hissy fit about it and refuses to accept being beaten. Honestly, on present evidence if Sion lost a game fair and square and got knocked out over it I'd expect their owner to sue the team that beat them for unfair denial of the right to win the competition. I mean, one of the last things they took to court was being "denied their right to compete in a competition they want to play in". That's so poor a demand that I could form a 5-a-side team with some mates and then take UEFA to court over not giving us a spot in the Champions League, it's about as serious an accusation. And they are only winning cases because they are pursuing them in Swiss civil courts, where the whole system is corrupt. The owner just slips the judge and jurors a few thousand and he wins his case. Every time he gets asked to take the case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, he refuses - I wonder why. Before the Celtic - Rennes game he said he was going to take the case to a French court and have them place a court order on the game banning it from being played until Sion's case with UEFA is resolved. Since the court was in France and not Switzerland...oh look, the game went ahead. Also bear in mind that they haven't actually taken UEFA to court yet. All they've done is just gone through a series of court actions seeking injunctions to prevent UEFA from taking action, or to prove their civil right to compete. They haven't actually challenged UEFA, they've just asked Swiss courts to publicly agree with them.

Also, the most important point. They haven't been restored to the competition. UEFA announced recently - and with uncharacteristic good grace - that if Sion went to the CAS and won their case they wouldn't expel Celtic but would accommodate both teams. That was not a backing down or losing the case. Sion is still not in the competition. They simply have UEFA trying to be nice to them in order to persuade them to enter the CAS - where they will lose their case.

This is one of the few places where I actually side with UEFA. You will not find many times where I am willing to talk courteously about them, but seriously, Sion are a disgrace to football and shouldn't be compared to us.
