Perhaps, not necessarily so. We were often told that players would not want to come to us without Champions League. We attracted the likes of YaYa from Barca without it. Maybe that was with the knowledge the club would or should qualify for the Champs league, maybe not. Tevez was another. Forget what's happening now with him, at the time it was a major signing for us without Champions League.

If a team gets to the point that I believe our owners intend to take us, in time with a growing brand and global popularity whilst some may not like that but that's how it is then the club will undoubtably have greater influence and power of the worldwide footballing stage. At the minute we are the new kids on the block that got lucky. I believe eventually there will be an acceptance, as there was with Chelsea.

Your are correct that players joined City when we were not in the CL but its clear that those players were expecting us to achieve CL status. Tevez is the obvious one that does not fit but his choice to move t city was probably more influenced by money and the ability to piss off Slur Alex.

It is absolute imperative that we maintain our CL status above everything else and i think i am correct that we could end up in pot 2 next season which only helps our cause and progression.

You may be right and as i posted on an earlier thread i think that the FFFP rules have kicked in just to late to prevent us from progressing but Twattini hates us and he will do all he can - what will be will be i guess

Twattini may be a twat but aint thick - he knew exactly what he said - of course he could not have said Jews and why would he as the Rags would mee the FFFP rules (the FFFP rules are designed explicitly to prevent sugar daddies buyng a City not prevent the rags and the established elite from qualifying) but he could have replaced Arab with the term "sugar daddies" thereby including Chelski whom would also not meet the FFFP but he chose not too.

This was not some off the cuff remark but a statement to RTL one of the major news agencies in the world and the idea that he would not have prepared or at very least considered what questions were likely to be asked and how he would respond is utterely naive.

As posted earlier however i believe that providing we maintian our CL status then i think that the FFFP rules have arrived a few years too late to prevent us from progressing.

I do believe Sheikh Mansour will eventually take us out of 'private' ownership and do a stock flotation in the Emirates.

I'm sure there are some like-minded friendly investors who will be more than prepared to take up the majority of the issue.

We can do it to increase out balance sheet by a valuation of £500m tomorrow.
