Two fears I have at the moment.....

I am worried that with Jose Mourinho taking charge of Madrid he is almost certain to turn his attention to Carlos Tevez, I admit it is only a feeling I have and I have no evidence to suggest they will bid but for him but Mourinho wants to rebuild the Madrid team with a greater work ethic and make them a greater attacking force then I'm afraid Tevez is the right man for them, lets hope our owners stand up and fight to keep him but it will be difficult if Madrid come knocking even with our wealth.

Also there is a rumour that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be on his way, this is a player who obviously has individual talent and has performed reasonably in well established teams, I feel if he were to join City where he would be expected to put a bit more graft in he would be exposed as lazy and we wouldn't get to see the talent as much, it worries me.

Like I say my post is all speculation at the moment but this scenario is a definte possibilty and to lose Tevez and gain Ibrahimovic would be a step back for me and I for one would be pretty gutted.

End of the day we're not a selling club but if Real Madrid DO turn his head then we should request Higuain and Van Der Vaart (not that he'd be my favoured choice) in return. Tevez would be a professional in our team, but he'd be distracted by the attention of a more prestigious elite club who will play Champions League football with more than a decent chance of winning it under Jose Mourinho.

If he went I'd wish him all the best, thank him for the relative success he has bought us and the enjoyment he provided when watching him play. But there's no point being afraid until they declare their interest and put a bid in to be honest and even then we're not a selling club and we should do all we can to entice him to remain with us.

Lol, Ibra>>>>>>>>>Tevez. That's a swap I'd do in an instant; Ibra has been criminally underrated by so many, his time at Inter proves that once he's settled into a side he is clearly one of the best strikers in the world and a clear 30 goals per season striker. At times this season for Barca he looked like a world beater, but people are getting on his back because he didn't perform brilliantly all the time, and why on earth would he?! Barca don't play his kind of football, and he's been expected to completely change his game. English people would rather just keep their ignorant mindset that he's overrated because they saw him lose to English sides in the CL a few times.

Disagree I think he'd struggle with the pace of the Premier League and you'd be on here calling him a lazy twat within two months of his arrival. He seems to be ok when he is allowed to stroll about with a world class team behind him but we are not that yet and he would need to put a bit of graft in.

Adebayor would be better imo.

I can't agree with you there Ant. Tevez gives you work-rate (doesn't stop running for 90 mins), creates chances for other players and overall contributes more to the team than Ibra would and to compare his style of play to Adebayor is correct in my opinion, very similar style of play between them. Last season we saw RSC and Ade partner each other for height, perhaps Ibra can replace RSC in that sense? I don't know, just speculating that he wants the same sort of player but a level up so to speak. For me, it's physical stamina and decision making time that would let Ibra down in my books. He's a goal poacher who is clinical, nothing more but nothing less imo of course.

What a fool you are then. Tevez just scored us 30 goals, defends from upfront, galvinises the team. Won us countless games on his own last season and you would swap him for Ibra. Ibra needs a player like Tevez so that his cement boots dont get worn out
