Man City, with easy signing Begiristain. And Guardiola?

As reported in the last hour from Catalunya Radio, Txiki Begiristain, former sporting director of Barcelona, next week will sign a new contract with Manchester City. Together with the former manager of Barça will fly at the court of Roberto Mancini also Joan Patsy, contributor to the club Barca in recent seasons, you will join an already large group of former Catalan Ferrer as Soriano, Marc Boixassa and Esteve Calzada.

A landing, to Begiristain the City, which again also rumors about a possible landing of Pep Guardiola in place of the Italian coach.

Joan Patsy. Could he have a less Spanish sounding name?

Anyone know who the other fellas mentioned are?
According to the Internet Esteve was the marketing director at Barca and Marc Boixassa also worked in marketing. Our CEO is quietly surrounding himself with his trusted staff from Barca.

Of course the big catch is Txiki. He was the technical director at Barca for 7 years. I really hope we sign him up. This would be a massive coup. I can feel a Barca like revolution in the air!

The Star are on it. Must be true then..

Doubts remain about Roberto Mancini's ability to bring Champions League glory

ROBERTO MANCINI could be heading for the exit door at Manchester City, with the Premier League champions poised to bring in Pep Guardiola's ex-boss.

According to reports on Spanish radio, former Barcelona sporting director Txixi Begiristain will join City next week.

And the move has sparked rumours that the appointment could pave the way for Guardiola to take over the Etihad outfit next summer.

Although current boss Mancini has impressed the club's Abu Dhabi owners by capturing both the FA Cup and Premier League trophy in the last two seasons, doubts remain about the Italian's ability to bring European glory.

City are unlikely to reach the knock-out stages of this year's Champions League, fuelling concerns that the former Inter Milan boss will fail to capture Sheikh Mansour's most-coveted title.

By contrast, Guardiola won two Champions League trophies in just four seasons at Barcelona.

Begiristain was an important ally for the 47-year-old during his trophy-laden spell at the Nou Camp.

And Guardiola already has another close friend in power at City, after Barca's former vice-president Ferran Soriano replaced Garry Cook as chief executive this summer.

The only thing from barca i'd want is MESSI.

I'd take Cesc at a pinch plus a couple of others. I strongly believe that these are very powerful changes behind the scenes and to me all positive.

If Mansour wants European success he has to make moves.

If he is OK with domestic success we have to stick with Mancini he is capable of winning the league about every second year in average which is a good thing given the strenghts of our rivals.

But have a feeling he is not happy with our CL performances. He looks around and sees another teams didnt invest hundreds of millions to play this bad without vision or gameplan.
