Txiki Begiristain...

I can see it now.

Bobby will get in a fight with Taxi driver, Taxi driver will kick him out his cab, Bobby left his wallet in the cab, Bobby walk home.

Mancini never won anything in Europe. The man is old, it's not like he's some promising young manager who is constantly adapting and learning. He's stubborn and in control (most of the time). So I don't see him doing anything in Europe.

One poster earlier hit on the head, if Mansur wants City to be the next United; meaning winning domestically year in year out, then Mancini is your guy. But if you want to win domestically and overseas then you'd better find someone who is better then Mancini. I would put my vote in for that Serbian fella who took the poorest of the poor Nicosia last year to the CL quarter finals against Real Madrid. He knows a thing or two about putting on a good defense combined with good counters.

Re your username, was it on top of your neck?

Imo if we don't win the league Pep will be the manager next season.

Rubbish Mancini has JUST been given a five year contract do you think the owners expected us to win the champs league THIS season? don't come back with they would expect us to get out of our group because when they saw the group we were in new it would be very hard to get out of it!
Txiki Begiristain was the person who appointed Pep as the Barca B team manager and later the manager of the first team so if Mancini fails to get out the CL group and not win the league he would be under immense pressure and I can certainly see the two ex Barca guys pushing to get Guardiola in. Just my opinion.

It your opinion fair enough, me personally I'd give and he DESERVES at least another 3 full seasons

Three seasons though, what if we doesn't win anything major i.e the league?

I think Mancini deserves to be given another season in the Champions League, maybe not to win it but to at least impress.

I think Mancini has to retain the league this season if we go out of the CL, there would be no excuses as we will have a free ride at mounting a challenge.

Mancini even admitted he was worried for his job when we went down to QPR on the last game last season and I don't think that situation changes if he does not retain it this season, there are plenty of managers who can win domestic glory at City with the team and funds we have, but there are only a few who can push us in the Champions League.

Mancini is our owners 1st manager and only manager they have employed so really we don't know what they will do but I have an feeling they are loyal

When Hughless was sacked, there was much wailing about giving a manager time, its a huge job and will take 5 years to change. We have won two serious trophies in 3 years one being the league, so we are in a successful period, well placed to contest the league, struggling in Europe, but looking odds on to qualify for the 3rd season on the trot, yet here we are picking holes, because we haven't done what fungus couldn't do pro-rata with more investment and time, The rags and their media buddies must in hysterics when they read our *hite.

Nothing more than a bit of fun, but does anyone have a clue or would like to hazard a guess at who these 3 are? Or what they are doing in Txiki's office before Yaya pops in after signing his new contract? :-) (cue the sarcastic replies :-? )

Plenty of laptops, notepads, etc on show. Crunching the transfer and wages numbers?

Taken from the OS.
