Type 2 diabetes

16 years ago there wasn't a single case of a child being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in the UK, now there are 500. There were 100 diagnosed last year. Heard a doctor on 5Live saying that when he was in training it wasn't even taught! Quite alarming.

What isnt helping is the nutters preaching about "fat shaming". People need to know the truth sometimes regardless of how much it might offend their weak little minds. If you eat too much you get fat, if you get fat you leave yourself open to a load of medical issues. To avoid this stop eating so much.

I have just been tested as my 2 brothers and mum have it now, seems i have dodged a bullet for now anyway
There is a prog on it tonite

That doesn't account for people who are fat because of a glandular issue or emotional /psychological problem...

.....Go for a run and eat less you salad dodging cunts.

You could also say the same about drinking Alcohol but it doesn't seem to stop people. I have read medical notes to say the only safe alcohol intake is none. Would that put you off having a drink?

You also have to remember that everyone is different when it comes to how strong willed they are. A lot of people suffer from one form of mental illness or another. Depression is one, if not the biggest illness in the UK for which people take medication and many struggle with day to day life let alone wondering how many calories they have had in a day and how many they have burnt off.

I have found in life that most overweight people know they are overweight, know they should do something about it and know what things they need to do. They just struggle to consistently do it, hence the success of slimming clubs who must pinch themselves with how easy it is for them to make money off the same people year after year.

I was diagnosed 2 years ago when I went you the opticians after my eye sight went really bad over night. I am not over weight but had been losing weight over the previous few months. I wasn't over weight, I was getting more exercise than I had for years and I didn't eat badly or have lots of sugary things. My mum was diabetic and has been injecting for the last 10 years, sadly she passed away a couple of weeks ago after a massive stroke which is being put down to the diabetis.
This has made me concentrate on my diet very seriously and really try to get my sugar levels stable, I haven't changed anything over the last 10 years but suddenly my sugar levels rapidly increased.

Less than a hundred years ago it was easy to tell who was rich and who was poor. If you saw a fat man, it was odds on that he was rich. The reverse is true these days and you have to question why. It's not as simple as people being greedy, lazy or stupid.
Poor people will eat the cheapest food, families in which both people work will eat the most convenient food. The cheapest and most convenient foods are the foods that are high in fat and sugar. People who eat food that is high in fat and sugar will get fat. It's pretty fucking simple when you think about it.

There was a book written titled "Pure, white and, deadly.
Was rubbished at the time. It's taken a lot more seriously nowadays. All about sugar and how it can, put simply, fuck you up if you consume too much.

Personally I think it's a bit rich telling other people how to live because you're concerned about saving a few quid on your own taxes(same goes for drinking or smoking... you can pay a high price in life for most of these things and we pretty much all already know the risks)... in fact I think it's a real shame there always seems to be such a large portion of society(who aren't actually struggling at all to get by evidenced by all their spare time to ponder who's making their country shit) trying to make out they care but really just concerned with their own pocket, whether they blame immigration, obesity, alcohol, unemployment... anything they feel doesn't concern them is the answer? How convenient...

If someone is fat and happy, knows they will probably die young then let them... the alternative might well be they could simply grow old miserable, clinging on to a life they never made the most of all while picking up their pension for years after the fatty you said was a burden has long since gone.
