problem is to much power is in the hands of the fighters, every single fighter over the last few years has spent more time dodging fights than actually being a boxer, mayweathers 50-0 is a joke as he never took a fight when his opponent was in his prime, its all about optics these days and in boxing they are a shambles

I've never been vested in Boxing like i am Football or other sports so none of it bothers me too much.

If someone wants to don a pair of Boxing Gloves and go up against the World Champion Heavyweight then i don't see the harm. It's entertainment at the end of the day.

Would help if the final scores was presented more fairly mind!

Boxing needs a huge reform from the ground up. Too many sanctioning bodies, too many belts, and figters and promoters who cherry pick opponents to stat pad a career to keep it all about 0 defeats. Plus throw in the corruption and bribes that are prevelent

There are numerous articles out there about how it needs a total dismantle and rebuild from the ground up....but it wont happen

Watched it again this morning, and I think it was a lot closer than I thought last night. I think I must have been that shocked by the two fighters performances and got caught up in the hysteria that I thought it was a lot wider than it actually was.

On second watch I gave it 95-94 Fury, but there could be a case to go same score to NGannou.

What isn't in question though is how unbelievable poor the fight was, and how unbelievably terrible Fury was. Something wasn't right.


The only winners last night were the pairs bank balances.

Yeah watched it yesterday. He's come out with some right bullshit Fury and glad hes being called out for it.

As an aside Catterell is the one Talkshite presenter that stands up for our club. He made a rag look stupid on Friday night who claimed we were going to disrupt the Charlton tributes today.

I like him because he says what he means which occasionally annoys his co- presenters and he's admitted his bosses as well.

I have watched it twice now.
Francis took the first 4 rounds one of them 10-8. Fury rounds 5 and 6, Francis 7, round 8 fury, 9 level and fury maybe 10.
96-94 to Francis and that's been more than fair to fury. In a close fight the knockdown is huge.

First they’ll announce a delay to 23 December, then there will be an argument about the new date, then the delay will question whether it will happen in Saudi - taking the money off the table - by which time Fury will be doing his finished with boxing routine, and we’ll be in the spring before we know it and Usyk will just move on.

I will be honest and say i haven't watched or followed boxing since it went "pay per view" with SKY.
It's a shame i as used to love nothing more than getting into work after a big fight and talk about it for hours.
It was free so everybody had watched it.

I've seen the news about Youtubers and MMA getting involved. I shake my head, but if the people are paying for it, who am i to judge?

I somehow ended up watching the fight last night. I've heard of Fury, but not the other guy. Didn't even know a fight was on. I came across it whilst searching for some midget porn.
I would be more embarrassed to admit watching that fight than midget porn!

Anybody defending that, or boxing, needs a hard look at themselves. You are either young or stupid. (or both!)
That isn't boxing in any way shape or form.

Tyson was very lucky to come out of that with the decision.

Hats off to N'gannou, fought like he was designed in a lab to beat Tyson Fury. Kept the perfect distance, didn't bite on any feints, comfortable fighting Southpaw or Orthodox, too strong to be bullied in the clinch and had the handspeed and power to land on Fury and keep him honest. Imagine what he could have achieved if he had spent his whole career in boxing. The improvement in his striking from even his last UFC fights was remarkable.

Fury will still beat Usyk, he came in fat as fuck thinking this was an easy sparring session. Usyk doesn't have the physical attributes Francis had that gave Fury so much trouble.
