U18's games/results 2016/17

Oh dear, he saved a penalty in the 1st half too to keep it 2-0 to us at half time.

Was the reason he was stretchered off why he spat at someone? Not an excuse for the lad btw as it's a disgusting thing to do.

I'm not sure I'm just listening to it on the radio. I assume something happened to injure him and then he spat at them in the ensuing scuffle, can't imagine a scenario where he gets injured after the spitting which gets him red.

It's not nice but he's new - I'm sure the club will sort it out as they put a lot of emphasis on "making good people as well as good players" - i think that's the phrase that's been thrown around, anyway they take behaviour seriously.

It's ended 2-1 to us, which sounds like it was a good result with lots of the usual players away on international duty and the commentary on the radio made it seem like we were under pressure after Muric's red.

And that means the lads go top of the table, 1 point ahead of the rags with 2 games in hand.

Still unbeaten.

Brilliant result with a bunch of key players missing. Showed great character after going to 10 men too. Great to hear Bobby Duncan get a few minutes after scoring 2 for the 16's in their 6.1 win.

which u18 have conditions to reach 1st team?

Conditions! There's a bunch in the 18's who could make it. Very early days of course and who knows how they will develop into playing senior football. Sancho I would say is about as nailed on as you can get.Wonderful talent.
Muric the keeper a maybe. Tall and looks good both in the sweper keeper role and as an old fashioned keeper.
Rosler. Maybe not at top level but a good pro career likely. Playing full back at the moment but really a midfielder I think.
Joel Latibeaudierre I really like. Talent and attitude seem excellent and he has the captaincy plus an England slot
Kigbu and Francis quality like Joel. Just so hard to be clear on the level they will get to.
Davenport. PotYear for the 18's last year and now moved up but still eligible. Loved his game last season but not yet a regular for the 23's and playing sometimes at full back like for the 19's last week. Love him but cant be certain he will make it at City level.
Bolton. Powerfull attacking player alittle bit in the style of David White so that says he can make it.
Tom Dele-Bashiru looks a real prospect as a driving midfield player. His father seems to be a problem but I hope that will all get sorted and he can push on. A definite possible.
Foden. What a talented lad. Fabulous left foot, great balance and passer of the ball. England player and for me one of the best prospects but playimng against the big boys will be his test.
Gonzalez. Is he the new Aguero or Tevez. Smallish but strong and scores goals. Not seen that much of him but very highly rated
Sancho.worth watching the 18's just for him.
Pozo. Different position to his brother but a very good player. Need to see more but he is groing on me
Ian Carlo Poveda. Simliar to Paolo Fernandez for those more familiar with him . Great talent on the ball but another I need to see more of especially in tough games.
Joe Hardy has been pushed to the bench since Gonzalez came along but another like Bolton, strong, good runner and scores goals as he did with the 2v Newcastle at weekend. I doubt a top 4 team is in him but not really seen enough.

No doubt plenty on here will disagree with all or some of that. My first season watching some of these lads but it's an absolute delight to see them play. 16/17 isn't an age to be certain of whether a player will make it at the highest level as so much can happen as they grow and get confronted with strong quick players against them who can expolit weaknesses. But the future is very very bright and blue

Gonzalez, small? i presume you mean short? because he has a fantastic physique - very strong and powerful.

He's also fast as fuck - a tremendous prospect.

There may be others but I wouldn't disagree with any of the above, one thing I would add about Foden is that he's a ferocious but very accurate little tackler as well. I hate to compare him to rag players but think Paul Scholes but with the ability to tackle.

short yes and i think the Aguero comparison in build is about right but maybe an even sytonger upper body. Looks a dynamic sort of player.
