Bluemoon!!

I like them myself, in my opinion they peaked with Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree, but they still present a cracking live show - obviously at their own gigs!!

Agreed, I've seen them live twice in the last 2 years, Wembley and Paris, and they were brilliant, but tonight on TV, I thought they were pretty flat, poor at times in fact, but how much of that was down to the BBC coverage, because the crowd seemed to be enjoying it, and its the first time in over 20 years they've played to a none U2 audience ? Larry didn't seem overly impressed in the interview after either.

They didn't play enough from the last album for me, relying on to many old songs because it wasn't their normal audience.

Would love to hear from someone who was there, U2 fan or not.

Bit unfair when on the other thread everyone was complementing morrisey for 'giving what the festival goers want' by doing older tracks, thought they were good tonight.

Not sure what's unfair, just giving my opinion. I'm clearly a U2 fan, and I didn't think they were anywhere near their normal live performance, but I was only watching on TV, and like watching City, I don't think that its always a good reflection of what actually went on. I also watched the Primal Scream songs, and thought they sounded flat too, so maybe it was just the BBC.

I do however think that U2 went the safe route in playing their anthems, something they haven't done on the 360 tours.

Like I said, I'd like to hear the opinion of someone who was there, as TV doesn't always give the full impression.

Oh and that's not in 3 words.....
