The nearest star is only 4 light years away.
Radio and tv transmissions travel at the speed of light.
So far from not receiving any transmissions they’ll have watched all City’s success up to 2019.
There are over 10,000 stars within 100 light years never mind 200. They will have been receiving radio signals for 100 years and will shortly start receiving tv signals.

Is that why aliens have antennae on their heads?

Why would these aliens of superior intelligence even bother coming to earth anyway.
In reality our planet is probably less significant than Wout Weghorst is in football.....

They might want to come to study a primitive society, which still, for example, has relics of feudalism, a class system and vast differences in wealth.

It would be like us going back to study the Romans or the Wars of the Roses. Lots of people would love to do that if it was possible.
