Moshiri's long time associate, the oligarch Usmanov, has paid £30m to EFC for the option on naming rights on the new stadium whilst EFC announce losses of £111m! Usmanov is an oligarch who you can liken to Abramovic in terms of the origin of his wealth and his political power. He is a long time associate of Moshiri and already sponsors the Everton training ground Finch Farm.

Everton have announced record losses of £111.8m for the year to June 2019 but say they are "committed to operating in a financially sustainable manner".

The losses have been adjusted for a 13-month period to incorporate when players' contracts come to an end.

But after a £30.6m profit in 2017 and a £13.1m loss in 2018, the latest figures show the alarming rate of spending under majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.

Premier League profit and sustainability rules allow for a £105m loss over three years, with Everton's total loss in the same timeframe at £94.3m.

Beginning to get a bit windy about the silence on this now. The investigation was supposedly concluded months ago and it was agreed that notwithstanding the CAS proceedings they could go ahead and publish their findings. Nothing. The CAS proceedings finished in November but we've heard nothing since. That, in itself, is a departure from all the leaks and speculation that went on for years before. Why has the media suddenly gone so quiet when they couldn't stop mentioning the proceedings before November ?

If UEFA had a "concrete" case they would have banned us by now but the fact that they haven't cleared us either suggests they are intending to punish us regardless. So it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to suspect that there are negotiations going on. My concern is that directly, or indirectly, the usual suspects are continuing to have input into negotiations that, ostensibly, have fuck all to do with them.

So, by next year, their 2 yr rolling losses will be £125M (£111.8+£13.1M). Therefore, they need £20M profit (-£125+20=-£105M) next year to “break even” over the rolling 3 yr period.

From there, they can then lose £13M the following year (-£112+20=-£92M, and -£92-13=-£105M again).

From there, with aggregate profit of (£20-13M) £7M over the previous 2 yrs, they would be in a position to lose £112M again and still be OK! However, one would hope that this years massive losses would be a single event designed to increase future revenues...which will be needed with a very expensive manager and an expected significant outlay on players.
