Very worrying news about coronavirus in Nothern Italy. I hope it has been caught in its early stages before too many people had the chance to spread it.Implications for football are severe and of course there are far more important things to worry about too such as elderly relatives.

It might be off-topic, anyway I appreciate your concern. The epicentre was a small town hospital not too far from here, and the infected patients ("patient 1" included) have now been brought to my town's hospital lol.
At least we get a week off from college and our university exams are postponed ;)

Are City assuming that the application to stay the punishment constitutes a notice of appeal?
If so, are they correct?
Of course thay may have given notice of appeal but not announced it.

The logic is they can’t count days that an appeal can’t be lodged, as they are closed. If they do then yes tomorrow is day 10

Some of the press this last week has gone well beyond the pail, I don't think the club should or for that matter can let it go.

I see I’ve come in for some fair abuse on here for an apparently stupid comment.


However, let me just explain why I’m concerned. Reading the 2000 plus pages on here has given me the assurance that City are on safe grounds and will win the case. Ranging from, UEFA didn’t even look at our defence to proof that the Etihad sponsorship was clearly paid by the Executive Council from Abu Dhabi and not from our owners.


The lawyer we hired is famous for a technicality in fighting Brexit. So while I’m as concerned as everyone else here on the outcome, I’m merely questioning the need for this kind of approach for our case. Obviously I don’t want the shittiest lawyers but just asking why we really have to get the best at 20k if we’re sure of our case?

I think it's more likely you will find UEFA are fighting this case on a technicality and stolen emails, and nothing more.

I have yet to see one bit of information from UEFA that would give me as a City fan the slightest worry.
