Like the tone of that statement from City. No fucking about. Going to be very interesting to see how this plays out, but clearly w're not going to take this lying down.

What's your feelings on this Ric?
Personally I think we will be fine and I'll be glad when it's sorted.
I do wish the club would be more robust with the constant negative journalism against us though.

A club statement

Is Pep telling everyone how many trophies we’re going to win this season?

How do we fall in line? We aren't failing ffp anymore are we?
The clubs statement is very precise, they think we our compliment with everything, think UEFA will be going to get dragged through the courts if they try to punish us again, what is really f-----g wrong is their timing lts pretty clear this is an attempt to disrupt our season and any investigation will take months and could have been done in the closed season perhaps their trying to push through a dodgy and fast fix to ban us before the season ends, City will not let this go this time and will come out fighting

I just want if sorted tbh. If there gonna fine or ban us from the champs league or even make us miss a transfer window just get it done. There is no way we are walking away from this with a not guilty because we are too big to get away. So I say bring it on and fuck em

I doubt they can prove where our sponsor's get there money from. Probably not against the rules either. Anyway, I don't think they can have anything on us from a ffp point of view.

This is what I'm talking abut though.

So it might not be against the letter of the rules for HH to pay us £50m a year by signing a deal with Etihad and giving them the money to give to us, but it's clearly not what FFP has in mind is it? It's very obviously seen as corrupt by anyone outside the City fan base.

So at what point does the damage to our reputation, the hassle of dealing with accusations and investigations, become more costly than the benefit in extra £ we get by having Eithad sponsor us and not another company?

If I was advising City I wouldn’t have mentioned the emails at all.

If we state the emails are out of context then we may have to show the context in which they were sent.

I would be delighted to see us aggressively challenge FFP. How much we can challenge FFP may depend on the terms of the original settlement.

What we don’t know is what kind of process this investigation will take. Whether report, investigation or form of tribunal.

Personally I’d like to see the end of FFP in its current form of cartel protection but I don’t think this will be the end of it.

I hope we take DS and the other media outlets on who’ve been peddling this shit - when the time is right.

Nope not at all, you know as well as I do money has crossedpalms either on young talent, agent fees Inc 3rd party or made up sponsors which ever way we all look at it we arnt fully innocent.

UEFA on the other hand are no angels therefore both party's won't want each other in court.

If you know as well as I do then, unless you
work for the club or sent the emails, you know fuck all. I believe agents are overpaid greedy bastards who are a football parasites, I believe parents are given inducements for there sons to go to particular clubs but I've no personal evidence that this is the case. So like you I don't know. But unlike you I'm willing to wait until UEFA actually prove anything.

Stating they're illegally obtained is deliberate.

I don't have much of an issue with Uefa formally investigating it, it's exactly what they should do to be honest.

What I think will happen though is they'll start investigating it, find out that all of the accusations are more concerned with our sponsors accounts rather than ours, of which they have absolutely no jurisdiction over, and then they'll end the investigation as quietly as possible.

I think the first bit is dead right, and the second part could easily be true.
