Less than 50% in the poll think City will be exonerated. Thats not exactly very confident.
Sorry meant we as In the club not this forum
Sorriano and co.

We seem very confident of being exonerated, we will look a bit silly if we dont overturn it.
Cant help but think it's going to be 1 year halfway house compromise.
Feeding the media isn’t the same as us taking any action against anybody.Once its in the open it’s up to others to take any action with it or not.In what regards to not going after Liverpool if we win against UEFA ?
We are led to believe that our club has done some digging which was supposedly meant to have been drip fed into the media until the covid outbreak - why do you feel that would change ?
Even if we win we should not let those that initiated and wanted to bring us down getaway with any of it

Sounds a bit like the chances of the real City turning up for any match.Less than 50% in the poll think City will be exonerated. Thats not exactly very confident.
I never said we wouldn't brief media, play the "game", be competitive etc. I said we would not be instituting legal proceedings.
All our competitors want to "bring us down". We want to bring down all our competitors. Its sport, its business. Thats life.
Of course, you are entitled to disagree. My view is as set out above.

You’d describe that as a compromise, I’d call it defeat.

If the hacked emails have been used, charge them with receiving/passing on stolen goods.Even if CAs come out with the verdict that we are not guilty on all charges. The damage done by UEFA and the G14 group of clubs will take a lot of undoing. The only way to do that is to take the lot of them to court. To and to sue them for either slander/libel or maybe even both. We should also charge UEFA for adding and abetting a crime namely that of hacking our system. The same would apply to Der Spiegel. As the offence happen in the United Kingdom the laws of this country should apply.
The board should start now to issue summons to the full board of Der Spiegel + it's owners of the impending trial. At once, the moment CAS find us not guilty on all charges. That we will be seeking substantial damages + costs. It has to be substantial to put of any other newspapers or journos from printing something that they know is far from true. Any decent journo/s should not be printing anything without a proper investigation.
Not sure - often in these cases theirs an impasse and disagreements and thus no one can decide for sure.
Be amazed if it's anything different than 1 year reduced but here's hoping hey
Charge the journalists with stealing a living. If the hacked emails have been used, charge them with receiving/passing on stolen goods.
Well I hope you’re amazed then. Be positive mate!
You need a lie down. This is bonkers.
Simply making the point that people aren't that confident of exoneration. I think the poll is probably a decent reflection of how people feel. Of course the poll is 100% irrelevant to the outcome.I appreciate some of the very valid opinions you have given on this subject.
However, what this small poll comes out with or not is irrelevant.
Most were very confident going into the Wigan FA Cup Final but we lost. Most were not very confident going into the Munich 50 years Anniversary at The Swamp when the world and his cousin were encouraging a home victory yet CITY won away for the first time since I was there in 1974.
The fact is we do not know and all this speculation is just that.
For city fans that is supremely confident ;-)Less than 50% in the poll think City will be exonerated. Thats not exactly very confident.
I've thought long and hard about this for a while and like others am nervous of the outcome as these bastards want to get us but - I keep asking myself the "So What question"
- We have not committed a crime - we have most likely played a system
- Damage is already done - we are referred to as the Cheats by others - fuck them I don't care
- Juventus and others have cheated and been done - nobody cares
I have no doubt that if we are charged either by UEFA or even if the Premier League and the FA think about charging us, there will be a massive Firestorm from the owners of City onto not just the Premier League & UEFA but also maybe some political pressure as we probably have a vested interest in not just the UK but also in Europe.
Being guilty will totally be the wrong message for Abu Dhabi - they won't like that, so expect this to go to the highest courts
They would try to hand every trophy we have won during the last decade to the runner-up if they get their way.
I think City are probably really feeling about 60%-65% confident of winning at CAS. No such process is guaranteed and even the best cases can lose. I'd say few cases have better than 70% certainty. The club are obviously not super confident because you can see how little we are doing in the transfer market - Chilwell is a perfect example. I think we will be very cautious until we have more certainty on the situation.
But likewise, I believe they are confident in the strength of their defence - the public statements are very bold and it seems inconceivable that Silverlake didn't get sight of a very strong legal opinion in advance of its investment. In fact its probable that CFG had to agree to a clause in the investment agreement that CFG had complied with laws, regulations etc. On the flipside, this probably also means that it is exposed to a sizeable claim (known as a warranty claim) from Silverlake in the event it is found to have breached by CAS.
