Ask yourself why would City turn down an offer of a nominal fine from UEFA unless we were very confident of the outcome.

Remember we have already been to CAS and may well have some insight into the outcome.

We should be worried but hopeful.

It is possible that UEFA knew that their case was lost and hence tried to negotiate a reduced settlement but as City wouldn't take it they went for the nuclear option...at least that way they say well we did our best? There were delays you recall to the hearing / announcement. Almost as if UEFA were left with no alternative.

I’m just so confused at the moment the news ruined my weekend and is slowly ruining my week. Makes me think did the players and pep know about this with the disjointed way the team has been this season and pep looking pissed off a lot. But then after the news broke we’ve all seen the pictures of the players in training laughing and joking makes me think are they in the know and been told we’re going to be ok? I just hope this is all sorted soon and I can get back to enjoying football what with this and var this season has been an absolute shit show

I hope we really do have a rabbit in the hat for this fight. I was chatting to the fella I know that is well connected in a media sense and he said that the club are up for the fight but isn’t sure from what he has seen/been told from other journo’s that they have enough solid evidence to overturn this. They need something that has not been made public and need UEFA to have nothing else that hasn’t! It’s all Ifs and buts so no clear outcome. It would be a huge blow for us if this is upheld. Need thick skins at the moment and need to show the world what we are about in the upcoming games as it the fans that are the constant in this club. owners, players and managers come and go but the generations of fans have been with this club for years.

TBH mate and i dont speak for all what bothers me is the domestic side of this,im not arsed about a ban from their over hyped cup infact i'd rather city pull the plug ten minutes before KO against Real and refund the fans the money, stick the finger up and fuck off IMO, but from a domestic point of view i dont want to see any punishment,imagine players like Pablo, losing his medal now thats not on IMO

He is a strange,not that great recently,he is firmly on the dipper bandwagon

I think he calls it as he sees it, with no bias or agenda. When Raz was getting pelters and dippers were calling him money obsessed he did a great piece in which his verdict on their campaign was "It is a lie". So while dippers are playing great footy, he praises them, but he did several pieces praising us too when we were at our best.

Agreed, I think that's why the hacks, (many of whom seem to want our destruction), have eased up on the speculation regarding the possible effects. The punishment is so clearly completely disproportional with what we are accused of!

It won’t happen. There’s no money to be made for the cartel by taking away our titles

But seriously what would it achieve? That would be punishing the players and the fans more than the club, and they certainly haven’t done anything wrong

Also pretty sure I’ve read in several sources that this only happens for match fixing
