Worst case scenario , (notwithstanding relegation to league 2 , all the players leaving , the sky falling in etc etc) we have 2 years out of the champions league .. Plenty of big clubs have had a couple of years out of the champions league , have all their players left ?.. has it sunk their club ? …..I'll be honest if the boot was on the other foot and this had just been announced that Liverpool had been banned from Europe for 2 years my first thought would be , damn , there goes the title for the next 2 seasons , and that's what we should be thinking now .. City playing 1 game a week ,every week ,training for the next weekend , working on set pieces , less injuries , more recovery time...look at Chelsea or Leicester without European football , less games is a big advantage in the domestic league ...

I consider myself well-acquainted with this whole FFP malarkey but even then everyday I find an article in this thread that shows a new level of corruption that I didn't know even existed. I'm genuinely exhausted to the point that this has little shock value now. Just frustrated and angry at how this has been allowed to go on for so long. Football really is a mirror image of politics. Old money and the established elite has rigged the game completely, everyone is a bought and paid for shill and any new entrant to this circle of elite has to survive a thousand round of stabbings before making it to the other side. And this whole time, the self anointed champions of justice and fairness in the media never said a thing. Blues who have day jobs and working night shifts have somehow been able to dig up dirt on these fucking frauds in their 5 minutes of free time and yet, these Pulitzer prize winning bumlickers are writing about how Dear Leader Kloppo's arsehole tastes like wine. Fuck the media in this country. Overpaid hacks, never had to do an honest day's of work in their lives.

As PB has already stated CAS are not a court as such. They will only rule on procedural violations and make sure the punishments UEFA sanctioned fit the crime as such.

The best we can hope for at CAS is the case is thrown out due to UEFA not following its own process.

That is the reason City mentioned “CAS in the first instance” The fight to clear our name and show the irrefutable evidence will happen in the Swiss Courts

But you can only bring a specific dispute to them. We couldn't go straight to CAS and complain about FFP & how it breaches EU Competition Law. They will take the relevant law into account in a dispute. They are not a court of law however.

The UEFA claim is always that the CFCB is independent of the UEFA executive.
But Ceferin trying to negotiate something surely runs counter to that.

I think he calls it as he sees it, with no bias or agenda. When Raz was getting pelters and dippers were calling him money obsessed he did a great piece in which his verdict on their campaign was "It is a lie". So while dippers are playing great footy, he praises them, but he did several pieces praising us too when we were at our best.

I agree, there's nothing wrong with Winter. I think he tries to stay above the trash, and has the status to do it, a bit like Samuel.

Strikes me that if he made that offer, to fine us but nothing else, then surely whoever the offer was made to would have had their phone in their inside pocket on record, which would then be hugely evidential in showing that the proposed ban was only because we refused to cop for another fine?

It seems obvious to me. If they couldn't, then there would be no sporting appeal process.

My impression is that they don't look in full legal depth, but make sure everything has been done correctly, whether the conclusions/penalties are reasonable, and if they are in line with any previous matters.
