Not a problem.
The ECA board/committees is publically available (ecaeurope.com, I think).
Soriano is on one of the levels somewhere - I think Woodward is on a competitions committee, but don't know if he's on the top board. That would look curious with Gill already there as Treasurer! van der Sar is there representing Ajax.

I beg to differ. 'Serendipitous' suggests that the outcome is somehow pleasing while 'coincidence' contains no such implication. Therefore, IMO they can legitimately be used together with the former adding to the latter to convey that the coincidence in question is a happy one.
