Honestly don't know why the don't abandon the 20/21 season wait till its safe and finish this season make up the blank weeks with some local mini leagues for the lower leagues and Euro friendlies for the main leagues unless its money.

your boss says to you , you have two choices, you either lose
A :25% of this years wages, or
B ;100% of next years wages,
?

The mood was we'd pass FFP in the first monitoring period, we didn't. I'd like to believe we'd win but having been convinced by the mood back in 2014, I no longer trust it. Bracing for the worst.
The mood was we'd fail FFP but be able to use exemptions to avoid punishment. They changed the rules on those exemptions at the last minute. It isn't the same. CAS aren't UEFA and won't change the rules. So we we either know we have or haven't got evidence. If we didn't I'd have expected us to have taken the slap on the wrist offered to us in earlier. I'd say I'm 90% confident in our case.

I know @tolmie's hairdoo is beyond bullish and seemingly the mood for the top brass is we will win this case but anyone still think we’ll get a ban of some type? Surely UEFA haven’t just changed their arm with all this?
I have to believe we won’t, simply because we’ll be taking a multi-pronged approach:

a) Front line: we will make sure every aspect of the case against us is dismantled and obliterated as being completely insane and if necessary shown to be illegal.

b) Shock and awe: it will be made apparent that much bigger badder things than are being leveraged by the ‘opposing forces’ will happen if we do. An existential Sword of Damocles hanging over whatever individuals or groupings are required.

c) Political outflanking: Variously, hearts and minds opportunities for some, escape routes from a potential inferno for others will be made available - subject of course, to the required acquiescence.

I have faith that we have both the means and savvy to be able to surgically demonstrate war, to illustrate its unbridled effects, and to sell the parachutes necessary that the VIPs will need.

I'm aware of all that. I'm just not going to allow myself get my hopes up again.

I 100 % agree. Mainly for moral reasons. It's highly possible this virus comes back. If the normal time taken for a full season is used for a quarter season I believe we may have the tools with regards mass testing and the ability to reduce risks at mass gatherings by asking fans the right questions. A longer time between games also helps with self diagnosis and more testing.

Fans do not come into it since I doubt we will be attending games for a very long time. So better finish last season off then start next behind closed doors than scrap next year and loose all the money and also this year reaches it conclusion

I think you're typical of many City supporters Rolee and the final part of this post explains why - "I'm just not going to allow myself to get my hopes up again." For so long we believed the "typical City" factor would kick in and however promising the outlook was things would go completely wrong and we'd be worse than ever! But this isn't the same. Typical City died years ago and 2014 had nothing to do with "typical City". UEFA pulled a fast one and got away with it because City's cool, cold blooded judgement (the exact opposite of a panicky "typical City" reaction) was that "a pinch" ended the problem for good. It didn't - but who do we trust now? It is UEFA who show all the signs of typical City behaviour - inconsistent and torn by internal divisions with a good dose of corruption to boot: City have a track record of successful growth commercially, brilliant success on the field and are the best run club in the world. On the strict matter of the "charges" City have maintained a consistent line since the beginning and have been preparing their case for nearly two years with very prominent representation while UEFA have resorted to leaks, rumours and interference. No one can stop City fans fearing the worst, but stand back and you'll see that all the reason, all consideration of procedure and evidence suggests very strongly - overwhelmingly - a City victory. There can't be any guarantees and enough isn't known about CAS to know how extensive a victory City will get but any kind of decision in UEFA's favour would be a shock.

Wonder if there's no date for the hearing because something is going on behaind the scenes and there won't actually be one?

That is, I think, becoming more and more likely by the day. I suspect UEFA would have to cave in completely in that case but things look rather worse for them now than they did six months ago...

I get the reasons for optimism but we're not even aware exactly what the charge is it as UEFA didn't publish details. We also have huge vested interest working against us. Of course I hope my fears are misplaced but just can't shake them.
