Yup, and I’ll be delighted if we do better than cop for a reduced ban. The media has already seen to it that we’ve been tried and found guilty in the court of public opinion, and if there’s the slightest ambiguity in our evidence I’ll be surprised if CAS has the stones to overturn the UEFA judgment. Given the wider implications, this must be one of the biggest rulings they’ve ever had to make. Fingers crossed, but Courts are a law unto themselves

A reduced ban wouldn't do anything for me. We're either innocent or guilty in this process.

FrankSwift1 the only reason I come up with that figure is that it should be somewhere between making that pay so it hurts, and not high enough so that they cannot pay. If I was going to sue them assuming that we won the case I would go for a much higher figure say somewhere in the region of £200 million, knowing that they then would be willing to talk, and settle somewhere near my original figure.

Mate Im only teasing. Just Ive seen you mention 50M about 100 times on here.

I think they slapped a 2 year ban knowing full well we’ll have enough to appeal but not overturn. Therefore reducing to 1 year which isn’t the end of the world for us

If that occurs bookies won't dare take bets on us doing another domestic treble.

A mate (Arsenal supporter - I know apologies blues ;)) seems to think if we do win the case then the Pl teams finishing 5th and the team finishing just outside last EL spot could appeal the decision at CAS. I told him load of rubbish. Anyone got a more informed view on this?

No chance. They have no locus whatsoever in the current proceedings so it would have to be a seperate Court action against CAS. Can you imagine Man United v CAS ? So CAS hearing an action against itself.
