Shit or bust. Game time. Here we are at long last. An existential crisis for the club finally has an end date in sight.

I fully expect is to win and be exonerated. The aftermath of which would be I'm sure, a fantastic next 10 years or more.
If we were to lose and be shown to have actually cheated the damage would be catastrophic. Game changing. We would be set back to a worse position that we were in in 2008. Reputationally fucked for a generation or more.

Knowing this, and seeing the absolute and very public confidence shown by Khaldoon and Soriano I will be amazed if we don't win and win completely.

Then the fun can REALLY begin.

A mate (Arsenal supporter - I know apologies blues ;)) seems to think if we do win the case then the Pl teams finishing 5th and the team finishing just outside last EL spot could appeal the decision at CAS. I told him load of rubbish. Anyone got a more informed view on this?
Other clubs surely have no locus in this case. They would have to pursue City by other means such as breach of PL rules. Can't see them getting anywhere.
Personally, I can't wait. "Oh what a circus, oh what a show"
PS The quote is the first line of 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina". Let's hope the last line of that song is not appropriate: "It's our funeral too."

Yep its everything on the table now shit or bust, every scrap of evidence against anyone on the table, every Eufa representative should be given a dossier when they walk in the room pointing out all their little indiscretions over the years, the times when they told the missus they were working late, and it was on a hooker, any little bedroom sports they enjoy ,all the bribes and kick backs that they have been involved with their whole life laid out for them and tell them this will all come out in the next 3 days in the courtroom, give them an hour to think about it and see where we go from there !!!

An delicious dream, but poor courtroom tactics!

I remember when the ban was announced the club stated that they would appeal to CAS in the FIRST instance. Are they anticipating taking this to a higher court and if so would we ask for any ban to be suspended? Would we be better taking our medicine now whilst Covid is wreaking havoc. Glass half empty. Come in PB or Jim.

I think they slapped a 2 year ban knowing full well we’ll have enough to appeal but not overturn. Therefore reducing to 1 year which isn’t the end of the world for us

Maybe not in terms of the retention of staff, but it’s still a “guilty” verdict, and one with some potentially serious implications (ie lawsuits) from those “wronged”. Not hard to envisage those shitehawks at the Swamp and Klanfield overdosing on faux outrage....

So we'll have the hearing before we probably play anymore football. Which leads to all sorts of other stuff going on.
We win - do UEFA have room for appeal, and will they bother restarting this seasons champions league (to avoid any chance of us winning it and rubbing even more salt in).
If we lose, can we appeal anywhere else, and does it give us added motivation if the champions league does restart this season. As for the premier league, if we lose the appeal, the race for 5th place will all of a sudden be of interest and more teams will want the season to play out rather than most thinking null and void it. However, with six positive COVID-19 tests from Premier league players today and Troy Deeney refusing to come back to training god knows if it will restart anyway.
Going to be a fun few weeks.

Using what evidence and on what grounds? Apart from the fact it’s nothing to do with them they don’t have a case to raise
