By next Friday, we will have a good handle on this and one side will be into damage limitation mode.

I don't perceive it that way, just replying to others and trying to remain realistic at all times, coupled with the confidence gained already.
If it was simply down to us, it will be coffee and cake by 2pm Monday!

That’s how these things start.I read that actually refers to if the current domestic seasons are forced to end before the fixtures are completed?
First, it’s an emergency measure, then it becomes ‘very popular’ next it’s ‘giving a democratic voice to all the members of the uefa family’, and before you know it, it’s ‘the will of the people’ .......
and you know where that gets you!
