I bet they are, the Scouse c***’s.

Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool watching with interest as Man City face prospect of Champions League ban
UEFA are set to make a final decision over the coming weeks

Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group have always been strong supporters of UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules which are supposed to ensure that top clubs live within their means. They will be awaiting the outcome of the investigations into City's conduct with interest.
When I was a kid I couldn’t for life of me understand why my Dad hated Liverpool more than United, I now understand.

What’s it got to do with them ? Unless of course they’re going to be calling for us to be stripped of the title and thus awarded to them. Either that or they’ll be screaming for some kind of points deduction or , as in the case of Rangers, thrown down the divisions.
They will stoop to any depth to get that title next season. Make no mistake.
Desperate,very desperate. Twats

All of this talking, all of this thread, all of the upset and fear it's all causing, this is exactly what our enemies in the press want. They want a: to stop us enjoying this moment. b: to somehow make everything this team and club have achieved to be tainted. And for that reason I dont give a shit. It's no coincidence this has come out the day after winning the Prmier from Liverpool, it's designed fake news. Fuck em, I cannot be arsed anymore listening to this shit.
Spot on mate. This might be news in forumsville but in real life every blue I know is absolutely bouncing. We’ve just retained the title and in 4 days time we’re heading to Wembley for the FA Cup final

Put your phones down lads, get outside in the sunshine, crack open a beer and smile - all’s well with the world :-)

Bring it on...

How can a CL ban be spoke about in the press if the result of the investigation hasn't been decided or published?

The chap in charge Leterme said "if proved, sanctions can be .. up to exclusion".

That all seems fair, as it started with the important "if" - it would all be in the regulations

It has been abbreviated for the hard of thinking to "will recommend exclusion".

Conn (Guardian) has written that the investigatory committee (IC) themselves can only issue warnings, reprimands or a €100k fine. Anything beyond that has to go to a separate panel to decide on action - that's when any punishment will be decided, and this will take into account the recommendations of the IC and chances of making anything stick.
