Jesus pages & pages all about what we're called.

Like (Glasgow) Rangers & Celtic, we're known just as City.

Can we please get back to talking about no info on the CAS case now.

A psychologist could use this thread as a classic example of identity! Like it or not this trial cuts to the core of who we think we are as fans and one thing we find it hard to tolerate are accusations of cheating. So it’s no surprise to see separate conversations springing up about what we should call ourselves and a little bit of nostalgia

It was claimed earlier in the thread that Etihad may have front loaded payments to suit City's cash flow requirements and it was stated it would make no difference at what stage the money was paid once it was the right amount within the contract period. That isn't really compatible with a struggling business that needs propping up by the state. Bringing forward financial obligations wouldn't be considered normal, especially to an unrelated party.
Our owner is not a state ffs

Once the verdict is passed down, whatever it is, is that it or are we under the cosh for the next 5 years whereby they can revisit it?? Also, unless it’s a fine only (for lack of cooperation), but covered under a non-disclosure no guilt result, surely we will be in the PL crosshairs for sanctions, egged on of course by the hateful 8...

It won't matter. FFP won't be recognised in its current form when the window reopens.

Possibly a luxury spending tax on acquisitions over £50m.
