Ah, the Tremeloes. Beneficiaries of arguably the worst ever commercial decision taken in the history of the entertainment industry. In January 1962, Decca records had two bands in their studio for auditions. The producer had only been given enough money to sign one however. He chose the Tremeloes. Ironically, Decca then spent more money on a lavish lunch to placate the manager of the unsuccessful band - a Mr Brian Epstein of Liverpool - than it would have cost them to sign both bands.
A bit of light relief ahead of another day of fretting over disguised owner investment and audited accounts......

Yes, but who was the other band?

For those really bored today, you can watch Ulrich Haas (on our CAS panel) talk about Predictive Analytics in Sport Arbitration. It more enlightening than it sounds btw

Can't you ask him what his prediction is??
I thought the bit about craving certainty when it is almost impossible was quite interesting along with the better predictions coming from the use of past data. Taking into account of cognitive bias is also a factor that shouldn't be underestimated and I wonder whether the infamous 'PL top Ten letter', might play into that?
Back to the data, is there a quick way of knowing whether the 3 man CAS panel have sat before, or what the judgements were individually, in cases of clubs v associations (as Haas seems to think that is an excellent predictor of future decisions)?
