.....might as well be Celtic.
Actually, it occurs to me that ffp has harmed all the major leagues except the PL. When was there last a champion other than the usual suspects in France, Italy, Germany or Spain? And fans here complain about City Chelsea and soon Newcastle. Ycnmiu.

Remember all the complaints from the press decrying City's dominance was ruining the game as we won 2 on the trot......not a fucking dicky bird regarding Bayerns demagoguery.
Killing the game in Germany - 8 on the bounce used to be reserved for the minor leagues of Upper Volta, which is what they are becoming like. Not seen any negative reports in the German press, are there any?
Or is it Bayerns law?

Juve have won it a ridiculous amount of times on the spin now as well.

The complete dominance of the G14 teams in their respective Leagues - to the almost complete exception of every other team over the past decade - is why you hear UEFA and the clubs in question lauding the achievements of FFP at 'stabilising' club football.

The protectionism FFP enshrines in European football is why Juventus are just about to win their 9th on the bounce, PSG have just won their 7th of the last 8 Ligue 1 titles, Bayern have just won their 8th in a row, and over the last decade, Real Madrid and Barcelona have shared all bar one of the available La Liga titles on offer.

This is what they want, and the PL is an anomaly which the Rags and Liverpool are desperate to address - hence those two clubs alone being given the recent veto on the new PL Chief Exec, and strong evidence that representatives of those same two clubs at UEFA have been behind the current drive to ensure City are removed from the CL for good. They want a La Liga style PL, with the two swapping titles each year to present the illusion of competition.

We are seeing the era of the G14 claiming football as their own, and not a soul in the mainstream media seems remotely concerned enough to write so much as a single word about it. Which tells you all you need to know about their impartiality and the agenda they support.

Spot-on. There still a lot of apologists for FFP in the media but essentially it is destroying European football by still allowing clubs to build up huge amounts of debt while not allowing fresh internal investment from outside. The French, Italian, and now German Leagues have become jokes. Spain is really just a two-club league. If it wasn't for Chelsea and City English football would have become another one-team league with no competition for United.
I used to enjoy the Bundesliga but it's like Scotland now. Clubs who tried to challenge like Wolfsburg and Leipzig have been strangled at birth. What do German football fans really want? In theory the fans-owner model is a good idea but why turn away external investors to strengthen the league. There is nothing fair about the way Bayern operate.

This is an interesting and well researched and referenced document. You can see lots of City around p73. https://scholarlycommons.law.northwestern.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1839&context=njilb

What is interesting is the pre-2014 knowledge. Similarly, https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-...h-creative-plays-documents-show-idUKKCN1NB2S7 looks at the pre-settlement conclusions of UEFA, in particular, "UEFA investigators, in the May 2014 preliminary view report, also noted that they had found no evidence of a commercial negotiation over the deals, “leading to the conclusion that this was not an arm’s length transaction between unrelated parties.”
