IMO I would think that City have already put the wheels in motion by telling UEFA that certain information was ignored and they are ready for a big fight.
No doubt about it both sets of Lawyers will be chomping at the bit,but I bet Citys are more convinced that additional information should not be ignored ... or suffer the consequences.
I`d be very surprised if we hear anything for at least another month.

Don't know, but from what people have said it could be months.
That's why the timings of the leaks and the charge from UEFA are so suspect. The only purpose they served were to diminish City's reputation and devalue the Treble (Quadruple)!

The leaks yes, but passing it from the investigation to the adjudication probably not as it seems the 5 years limitation was up so if they hadn't passed it when they did it would have expired. Hence why we are saying it was curtailed before it had been investigated properly.

THIS.
The Greek(?) representative on the lower chamber said he had not even been presented with the information before the NY Tines ran the story, so there is very little time for the lower Chamber to determine the truth of anything.

Why is a so called "independent" investigatory body acting in the way that it has? Does that not seem suspect in itself?

It's also possible that a journo (the NYT bloke, for example) realised that the 5 year period was up this week, and therefore didn't actually need to work hard to produce a piece that something would be done last week.

I think this is exactly what happened - whether CAS would look well on a hurried passing to the AC to meet a deadline, I have no idea. It looks poor to me, but as a legal opinion that hurry (and any lack of completion to the investigation) might not be important.
