Is this another trophy for the dippers, the £X1 starting eleven algorithm trophy

No. The only trophy they can claim on the spending front is the "Highest amount spent by a club without ever winning the Premier League" trophy. They shit all over the opposition on that one

That’s why Journalists are all shit.

All the info they need to refute Tebas’s claims, and pen a fair and unbiased article, is out there. But it goes doesn't then narrative, and won’t attract the clicks from the Rags, Scouser’s, and Tarquin’s. Better to keep the myth that City are destroying European football.
The i last Monday had a report on our F.A. Cup victory.
It was very clear that the journo had an agenda, as very few words referred to the game.
I will not now be buying that newspaper again.

As other’s have stated, Liverpool's recent transfer war chest is down to selling their best players who wanted to move to other clubs to win trophies. Which they have proved was the right decision. It would have been interesting to see what Liverpool’s transfer war chest would have been like, alongside UEFA and PL FFP, if those players had decided to stay.

Not once have I read anywhere amongst all this Liverpool net spend back slapping is that damning fact. Liverpool couldn't hold on to their best players. Yes, they have replaced them with comparable players, yet Liverpool still remain trophy less in their recent era.

This Summer Liverpool won’t have any transfer kitty. But they will have the PL and CL money. But their wages and agent fees have gone through the roof after signing all those new players. Let’s see how much they have to spend on players this Summer, while still having to complying with FFP.
J. Milner moved to the dippers to win trophies....

Don't forget PL FFP only allows for a 7% increase in wages with additions allowed on increases in Commercial Income (so does that include CL & Other TV Revenue)

City fans have an abiding hostility to UEFA and this has ensured a more vigorous booing of the CL jingle next season but interest in this thread is on the wane as PB is probably right when he says that there will be no further developments until next season. That means that anything City did to break FFP rules will be more than six years ago and I can't see UEFA believing that a CL ban would be seen as "proportionate". Any points deduction would have to be for next season at least in the CL and would also seem to be disproportionate. UEFA might try a fine but if City are found "guilty" the club will be involved in the process of negotiating a settlement and we may not accept a "pinch" this time. I don't think ADUG see litigation as a good way of growing a business but may be convinced that UEFA would be in too weak a position to put up any credible case to CAS. I can see UEFA hoping that some compromise where they express their dissatisfaction at possible ambiguities in City's affairs before 2014, but that no action will be taken because nothing can be proved and because of City's exemplary record since. That way both sides save face.

The other issue is the leaks - NOT the STOLEN emails - from within the CFCB IC. These have been fed to the press and used as the basis of a campaign to discredit the club and its owner and to undermine the club's unique achievements this season. Martin Samuel is not the only one who believes this campaign may well be orchestrated from within Old Trafford and Anfield. In our negotiations with UEFA the positions of Gill, Parry and others and the clear conflict of interest which it entails may well be raised and I think we may see in future a UEFA more concerned to act as a governing body than the leader of a cartel.

Personally, I think they should asterisk all teams who have won the "Champions" League without actually being Champions the season before...

I thought surely this has been done by UEFA as a point of interest\marketing tool! I looked but couldn’t find it, so decided to do it myself, having done so its easy to see why UEFA don’t make it particularly easy to find out.

The champions league was rebranded for the 1992-93 season and was still for champions. The exception to this historically was the Champions league\ European Cup holders which is fair dos, they qualified the first time by winning the league and have every right to defend the title.

In 1997 UEFA cash Cow Cup was effectively formed with Runners up being added and in 1999 up to 4 teams per federation.

So since 1997 there have been 46 finalists including this year. Of those 46 finalists 16 were league Champions of their federation and 30 were not, that’s an astonishing 65% of Champions League finalists that aren’t actually champions!

A few points of interests, the first all non-champions league final was 1999 When the Rags won their historic treble, this was also the first non-champions v non-champions final of which their have been 8 from the 23 years compare with 2 from 23 UCL Final’s with 2 champions the last was 2009

Real Madrid Have appeared in 4 finals as non-champions winning all 4 compared to 2 wins as Champions (They are the opposite of Kloop 6 UCL finals 6 wins)

The last League champions to win the UCL were Barcelona in 2011
