You would hope not. Khaldoon specifically said we wouldn’t, and hopefully he is as good as his word.

We will find out. The problem is as much as we all hate the bastards IF we have breached the rules we are fucked. If we have evidence to the contrary we aren't and we fight it.

I fancy CAS to give a preliminary ruling to suspend the punishment pending full determination.

"When deciding whether to award preliminary relief, the President of the Division or the Panel, as the case may be, shall consider whether the relief is necessary to protect the applicant from irreparable harm, the likelihood of success on the merits of the claim, and whether the interests of the Applicant outweigh those of the Respondent(s)."

So on the basis that a ban would cause irreparable harm to us (but no harm to the interests of UEFA), that's two counts in favour of suspending the ban until a full hearing. Unless they think there is no likelihood of defeating the corrupt UEFA, run by representatives of our rivals, we will get the ban deferred.
This was my first thoughts, i was shocked by the announcement i must say, with the evidence being so flimsy,. The 2 year ban is probably going to mean UEFA looking for a 1 year ban settlement. But the ban will almost certainly be deferred ?

You are allowed related sponsorship.....If the Etihad deal has been deemed fair value it shouldn't matter if Mansour has paid the club direct.

the fact UEFA said the following.... "City failed to cooperate in the investigation".

Hopefully that is an indication the club have kept their cards close to their chest and plan to blow this ban and the whole FFP to pieces.

I ain’t going away, first game in 64, season ticket since 72, but the manager and players may not share our loyalty, and tbh given the match day threads on here when we lose, the average City fan is a marder arse than when we were shit

I'm a similar age to you and I won't be going away either. I wouldn't blame any manager or player that thought they could do better by moving on as they aren't fans. However, I think we have a very strong core support and it would be very substantial whatever happens.

So.... we have shown the world how to run a football club, debt free and now financially self sufficient and this is how we are treated.

In my view this is the last big throw of the dice for the old has been clubs to try and stop us taking over football. Unfortunately appeals won or not they have done damage to the clubs name, in future years any thing we achieve will be ended with “Manchester City.. who in 2020 were banned from Europe for two years, but it was over turned on appeal” it will always be brought up and used against us.

Is it racism? Probably. Is it the old “big” teams trying to keep the former status quo? Probably.

We had someone invest their own money in to us and make us the best run club in the world and we are made out to be villains. Yet over in Trafford it is ok to be £600m in debt with accounts in tax havens. It is ok to be owned by an owner who in MLB has his club proven to be cheats if you are based in Liverpool. Or be convicted of fraud if you are a German rag.

It is corrupt. I would love us to win the bent competition this season and for us to rub it in their faces that they are banning the holders. But no matter how motivated the players and Pep could be for the challenge it will not be allowed to happen.

And the media can fuck off.

Where has this 2014-2016 shit come from? There wasn't anything in the leaks about that period. The fine comb only used for City rearing it's head again and they still get the wrong bloody decision.

Trying to say it's from a different reporting period so no double jeopardy.

Me too and this makes me more determined to continue dispite VAR
