I made a post to this effect a few days ago.
Why would City want to overturn FFP.
It may be morally wrong in a lot of people's eyes, it certainly is in mine, but from a City owners pov it's a blessing in disguise. It was created to stop us, but because of it's timing all it succeeded in doing was to let us sneak in just before the drawbridge was pulled up. Even if we get a punishment this time it will only slightly hinder us rather than stop us in our tracks, in Khaldoon's words, it'll be another pinch before we march on again.
We as a club have nothing to feel guilty or ashamed about, all we have done is turn a weapon that was created to damage us into an advantage.
And I agree with you totally, fuck 'em all. No one raised a voice against it bacause they knew it was aimed at us and they all wanted to see us fail.

I think he prints T-shirts. Comes out with random shite to get publicity - a bit like those Paddy Power ads. Doesn't he have some long running competition? Uses code and I assume there's a prize if you figure out the message. If you add together two lots of m's and c's it's the same as an e, but I'm no good at those word puzzles so might just guess at 'buy my t-shirts'.

If the current English domination of European competitions is sustained, they will come back with something different.

The money in the EPL dwarfs anything that La Liga, Serie A or the Bundesliga can come up with. What will they try to do about that?

Come up with a new format for the champions league with weekend games to try to tap into premier league audiences. Remember you heard it here first, or maybe not.

Not any old Tax though, no 10% or 15% but a whopping 100%.

If I spend £200M on transfers, I’m also taxed £200M. That’s a 100% tax...or equivalent amount.

Sure, the TAX is 50% of the total, but the taxes paid are 100% of the amount spent on transfers.
 
Not sure exactly where taxation stops and extortion begins, but this sounds there is certainly a toe across that line. Can't think of any parallel outside of corrupt states/organised crime.

Yep your right it will be if an owner gives his club 300m for players he has to give 300m into a fund that will be distributed to all the other champs league clubs! They are still trying to find a way to slow new owners and rich owners down! Uefa is corrupt t fcuk cheating barstools.
