Yep that’s correct Milan spent big fucked it up and took the ban when there Plan of breaking even didn’t work.

Am I wrong in thinking that CAS was also going to be applying the rules as they stand today so we don’t get a ban on something that was against the rules but now is within the rules?

I have no clue where I read that, unless I dreamt it.

Harris must know, even from the public statements already made, that City's defence is nothing to do with the emails being stolen. That ship sailed a long time ago. He has repeatedly failed to make any attempt to balance his comments. I used to think he was just incompetent but you have to start thinking that he may be malicious in the way he is reporting this issue.

If as you mention he appears regularly on Qatari owned media - then there is your answer right there

The irony in all of this is even if the allegations are true, the root cause of it was us (well, Mansour) helping to make Etihads books look better rather than the other way round, the complete opposite of what all those casting judgement already have been arguing for the last ten years...

I don't think the buck would stop with Mansour. He is actually in charge on a daily basis elsewhere

I may be wrong so someone correct if I am wrong, I think Soriano is in charge and reports to Mansour

What's even more laughable is the fact they have to go back to 2014 to try and find inflated income because since that time the club's income has skyrocketed due to sponsorships not from the middle east and we piss their little negative 34 million break even amount over 3 years by a fucking mile. Not withstanding that we've already been punished for failing it at the time already (despite our protestations of no wrongdoing and none admission of guilt) and have a letter releasing us from obligations under the agreement. I really do despise UEFA.

Agreed, seems the ADUG business plan has proved itself superior to the traditional one.

Their fears that brought about FFP for new money ie investment of new money have been fully justified.

Whichever way one looks at FFP it cannot justify any need to prevent new money entering their sector of business.
History will show it as a barrier to entry not an example of why new money should be prevented from the investment phase of a business plan.

Soriano is the Chief Exec of CFG. He reports to Khaldoon who, inter alia, is the Chairman of CFG and MCFC and provides the link to Mansour and ADEC.

Sheikh Mansour has no connection with Etihad. His brother chairs the company and it's the stae-owned flag carrier for Abu Dhabi, where he's a member of the royal family, but he's not on the airline's board nor is he on the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

I’ve got a feeling we will have a pretty good idea, either way, by the end of this week.

We might but it wouldn't surprise me if the club issue a bland 'fair hearing, confidence in our case, no further comment until the official CAS statement' and say nothing more.

The hack pack will chase for signs of how it went.

I just can’t see UEFA being able to not leak, they will want to stage manage it either way - can’t contain their excitement or planting seeds of a technicality.

That's certainly possible. Whether it will be a smokescreen or right or wrong will take until July to identify, I guess.
