We were offered the option of a fine in return for accepting our guilt for what was described as a "technical accounting breach". Which we refused. Hence why I'm a bit dubious about ancoats'' story a few pages back as that was seemingly a better deal than the one his mate says we agreed.
So why would they then hit us with such a severe sanction, that is what baffles me. A one year ban fine, but 2 years? And a fine? Madness

Ha!! That brings back memories of when we were stationed at RAF Wildenrath in the early ‘90’s. The rage at the time among the wives was Ron Hill track suit bottoms (with a loop at the bottom) with stilettos. We also had a Christmas “do” where The Real Thing were the band...the wife had such a good time that she threw up in the passenger footwell on the way home!! Luckily, being winter, it was so cold that when I was cleaning it up, it had frozen and was really easy to scrape up with a spatula...ah...those days...had a Cavalier SRi 130 that we went to the wife’s mother’s house in LiVARpool after the “first” gulf war which got nicked and torched...I was gutted...both for it being nicked and because the Rayban’s I’d bought over there were in it!!!
Great story, even though a little sickening - frozen sick and spatula?

Surely if we've won though there will be a leak of some kind too?

I'm not so sure. We've made a big thing about leaks during this whole process.

Perhaps one of the staff might speak out of turn, but as far as an off the record steer to a press member, don't see it.

The fact we agreed to stay the announcement until the 13th, seemingly in conjuction with Uefa, remains telling for me, even if others don't see anything in it.

We owe zero courtesy in that regard unless the verdict is favourable to us.

Read somewhere that if the punishment sticks, the PSG case will likely need to be re-opened. Wonder if that will have a bearing?
