UEFA plan controversial changes to prize money distribution

If this comes about, then all the clubs that have not won the European Champions League or it previous equivalent, should pull out of the Champions League and start their own competition based on how it is run now. With more teams having not won the Champions League competing in a parallel competition. The heads of UEFA would have to back down. There is also another way to do it, that is for teams whose ranking has been lowered because of the new rules, is to play weakened teams in the group stages and so devalue the competition. If this happens how do you think the sponsors would react if the likes of PSG. Sevilla, Man City etc. started to field weakened teams they would start to withdraw their amount of sponsorship that they are paying to the Champions league. After all there are probably more teams in the Champions League who have not won it then have won it.
 
This proposal is so bent it's hard to believe it's real and not out of some kind of satirical novel. If it related to success in the last five years I might - just - see some vague logic in it, but successes from before many current fans were even born are utterly irrelevant.

Can you imagine something like this in the FA Cup - maybe direct entry to the fourth round for Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa because they won it in the 19th Century?

It's simply bizarre.
 
would love to have the UEFA financial accounts since it became the champions league i bet literally millions have disappeared into obscure bank accounts around the world,eventually it will all surface and those feeding off the gravy train will do time

Can't see this being true, it makes absolutely no sense and we are just 1 club who would have a big problem with it.
 
Hope Martin Samuel keeps this story going in media, the rag are liking won't even see it as a story, uefa are corrupt. .

Reading through the way how Wayne Rooney is being treated by most on the United Forum it would seem that they currently don´t give a toss about his past performances for United and think the only thing that matters is his ability to perform today.

Slightly at odds with the proposed rule change but I suppose we should be used to such.
