UEFA's squad list submitted by us last night does include Stones.
Stones is not a Manchester City. As City are yet to announce him.

Fully understand you taking SSN word for word though. Regardless though, this is a bit of a cock up.
 
Guessing he as signed and is just doing the interview and picture taking for the OS to announce it, like they did with Sane.

I think the key part is the fact that Everton haven't commented. Were he not actually a City player and he had been put in there in error they would have been all over it!
 
Or it could just be that we have already signed him!!!!

Maybe have a look on the city website instead of slagging off the club

Then why not make an announcement instead of $ky leading with the fact that he is named in the Uefa squad list. Sorry it smacks of amaturism, we never thought the squad details would be made public !!!
 
Just looking at the squad in detail we have 15 players who are clearly sitting in a free (foreign) spot where we have a max of 17. We have 5 in the Association Trained ‘English’ list so that is 1 over the limit of 4. That pushes 1 in to a free spot. Then we have Denayer who was widely assumed to qualify as Club Trained however given we have 1 free spot left does that signify that he was not registered in time to be CT and he is in fact a foreign player. That would be a blow if it is the case? Gundogen and Komps are the two big omissions so you presumably 2 of these players will get dropped from the group stage list!

Jason Denayer was 21 on 28th June (born 1995). So technically he was probably U21 last season but who knows this season? I will research this (but City should know)

From this I don't understand why Jason Denayer is on the squad list as by rule 43.11 he can go on the B Squad List as he's been on our books since season 2013 (so why waste an 'A' list spot):
"43.11 A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1995 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption"

Especially as Squad list places would be required for Leroy Sané AND Oleksandr Zinchenko as they haven't been with us for 2 seasons (B List) or 3 seasons (A list).
