UEFA scraps away goals rule.

Take away the away goals and you have to ask why two legs - could just be one at a neutral venue. From then you could argue to 'award' the CL like the olympics to an individual nation each year. From that it's not too much of a reach for it to be played in a non-uefa country? - US, China etc.
Admittedly all a bit of a reach, but I don't trust these cunts to be doing anything for the good of the game.

We have lost 5 times on away goals, and never won in UEFA comps using them.

Didn't we beat Linfield on away goals in the first round of our defence of the ECWC in 1970/71?

I think you nailed it !

There are growing rumours about UEFA wanted to change CL format to a Final 4.

The last Final 8 forced experiment had a resounding success. It is said that viewers liked the "mini tournament" format. Seemed like a small Euros or World Cup for clubs. Appealing for spectators who will attend and for TV audience.

By abolishing away rule, they are now maybe taking a step forward in that direction.
