With a stadium capacity of 32,115 going off uefa normal distribution to finalist we’ll probably end up with around 8-9000 tickets I’d imagine.
For the 2019 Super Cup in Istanbul (Besiktas stadium - 42,000 capacity) Liverpool and Chelsea each received an allocation of just over 5,000.
Anyone thinking of going and concerned about whether they’ll get a ticket with their points should look at entering the UEFA ballot. I don’t know when that’s open for applications but I’d imagine the likelihood of success is considerably higher than the outside chance you’d have in a CL final ballot.

Last year you could buy tickets directly from Uefa site. On a 'first come first served' basis. I don't think there will be any issues with anyone getting a ticket that wants one.

Going out with Aegean from Manc direct to Athens Mon 14th, back with Jet2 Thurs 17th into Brum, got work Friday.

Cost me more than normal but fcuk it.

Staying in Piraeus, metro system looks good.

I hate the heat so going to be tough but after Istanbul I feel I can take on anything now!

Some really nice areas around there
We stayed there when Hearts played AEK

Unfortunately my bank balance can only afford one UEFA shit show a year.
Looks like I'll have to stream this one or will it be on the tele?
It will be on TNT - the BT replacement has taken over the contract for UEFA games and has exclusive rights for the UK next season. That’s changing in 2024-25 when the new CL format begins.

Athens is a brilliant place. Definitely worth tagging on a couple of days before or after the game if you are lucky enough to be able to do so.

As are the islands. Went to the Aegean islands at easter, a few years ago. Only did two or three. I sniffed around, briefly considering buying a small whitewashed cottage and taking retirement there. The people are lovely, and the euro goes a lot further than anywhere else in Europe, especially off season, except for perhaps parts of inland Portugal. In the end, it would have been one hell of a jump for me. I don't speak one word of Greek, and it's kind of too late to learn (everybody does not speak English, as indeed why should they?). Also, in the winter, the ferries don't necessarily run more than once a week or so. Once you're on your island, you're on it. Unless it's one of the big, known ones, like Santorino.
Athens is a fine town. The Acropolis, lit up at night, is glorious. Contemplating that from a café terrace, with a good glass of red in your hand and some olives, people watching… brilliant.

The 2023 UEFA Super Cup will be the 48th edition of the UEFA Super Cup, an annual football competition match organised by UEFA and contested by the reigning champions of the top two European club competitions, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League The match will feature English club Manchester City and Spanish club Seville.
It will be played at the Karaiskakis Stadium, home to Athens side Olympiacos on 16th August
Just when Athens has emptied and headed to the islands on holiday. Should be a good trip but bloody hot.
