Apologies. In my eagerness to help I got my aikos's and iacos's in a twist. This is like saying City play in the Borough of Trafford. Panathinaikos is the central club mate, Olympiacos are based in Piraeus.

You are quite right. I will delete my comment to eliminate confusion. This is like saying City play in the Borough of Trafford. Panathinaikos is the central club mate, Olympiacos are based in Piraeus.
After the shit way that the fans were treated in Istanbul I am surprised that there will be a big take up for this.
It's right in the centre. On a main dual carriageway with palm trees in the middle. They play in green and white. A proper peoples club. Bit of a sleeping giant of a club I'd say. No connecting flights needed as its in Athens. If your in the centre its not more than a 40 minutes brisk walkAnyone found any good routes for this one yet ?? Looking difficult for anything reasonably priced with it being Greece in the school holidays.
Any advice appreciated

Edit. The pavements aren't very wide so its single file all the way up the slope from the main square. The gyros are excellent.
Crazy, and possibly genius! I hope it’s cold and refrigerated… or uht possibly? This is the most random thing I saw in Athens.
A cash machine that dispenses milk.
