UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

I have this vision of Earps in a pub somewhere pint in hand telling the clientele "that could have been me there" and everybody ignoring her!!

Hampton player of this match, no question in my mind. Made several vital in-game stops, along with the penalties.
That Bonmatí though… really impresses me. Different class to nearly everyone else. Makes me think a bit of Merlin, in that it is exceedingly difficult to get the ball off her. And picks out the player who is going to hurt the opposition with her pass.

Got a feeling within the next week or so you will here her bleating ............i actually had time for her but she aint caused herself a lot of damage in not being there to support Hampton

Don’t follow women’s football at all but always tune in when there’s a major tournament on the line.

Congrats to them honestly. The amount of shit the women’s game gets from the average Joe is borderline embarrassing.

They’ve done something the men have yet to do, retain a trophy. Hats off to them I say.

Amazing achievement but why try and go and try and tie it in with the mens teams.

It should be about the women and them alone as for folk slagging it off rather watch them than boring hyped up mens crap that we have to put up decade after decade.
Post of the thread.

After my magnificent efforts, obviously!

;-)

Hope you didn’t celebrate the domestic treble or the community shield following that treble…

When city won the CL.we weren't great and it was mentioned afterwards with no grief, it's not a problem to discuss the game in the thread specifically designed for it.

Others can knock themselves out with the bullshit cliches though. Window lick away. Glad we won but got lucky and the penalties for a professional sport were so bad for BOTH teams.

Anyhow I believe the Lionesses have roared:-)

I wasn't happy at all when City let her go because I'd watched her quite a few times, and i knew exactly how good and influential she was as a player ... and to then allow her to join rivals Arsenal was ridiculous when all she wanted was game time at City. .

Same thing with Esmé, actually. And a blue through and through, which is not proof of excellence, obviously — but never a bad thing.

Sadly she'd been playing shite for 18 months, that's why she lost her place, and every time she got the chance off the bench she wasted it, why that was we'll never know, many believe it was Taylor, I'm sure he didn't help, but she lost her motivation.

I'm pleased she's got her mojo back, and she's won the CL and the Euro's as a result, so well played for that.
