Where did I say it wasn't a penalty?

It was not the correct decision. The red card was completely wrong.

The red card is completely right.

The defender isn't attempting to win the ball, hes just pushed him over.

That's a penalty and a red card and its not really debatable, a push is literally the rulebook example of a foul in the box that still gets a red card.


Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off.
 
We need to play them at their own game here and start throwing ourselves about a bit more or making the most of a coming together.Honesty us admirable but if can also be naive with a ref like this.
