UFC 111 - GSP vs. Hardy

I'm astounded Hardy has got this far in his career

Why? the guy has that KO power which alot of Welterweights can't boast about....

Punchers chance....

Although I am a GSP nuthugger and have GSP down for this one, just a complete schooling in GnP....

I think Hardy will do it, the guy whos being training him for this fight is the best in the business. He trains Forrest Griffin, i met him at UFC 105 where he was introduced to Hardy.

Come on Hardy!!!!!!

Leading the way were UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Dan Hardy, who meet in the evening's main event.

Both fighter were on the mark at 170 pounds, and both promised a memorable bout.

"I'm just excited, man," Hardy said after weighing in. "It's going to be explosive. It's going to be a war. I'm ready to go 25 minutes, and I can't wait."

Hardy, sporting red-tinted contact lenses in his eyes looked ready to deliver on his promise, and he bounced up and down excitedly during the traditional staredown.

Back in the day on the UK MMA scene I don't think anyone would have predicted he'd ever get anywhere near this sort of level. There was plenty fuss about Daley but not so much about Hardy. Two guys I know have fought Hardy, one got whooped, the other went 5 round with him and lost on a split decision. He should have won and must have been milimetres away from tapping hardy on multiple occaisons in that fight, but hardy just managed to escape

Fair play to Hardy though he's a pretty sound guy and has got to where he is through working his bollocks off. I'd expect GSP to be a step too far for him tonight and smash him in all honesty, but I never expected Hardy would ever get this far so I wouldn't write him off. You never know

I feel the same about Ross Pearson, remember when my friend Will Burke took him to a split decision, literally won that fight and on numerous occasions had him submitted... but just the way it goes, hes gone onto bigger things.
