UFC 111 - GSP vs. Hardy

After seen hardy last night I have a lot of respect for the guy, Fair play to him going the distance with GSP, There was a number of occasions that Hardy could of tapped down to stop the fight. GSP is one of the best in the world with takedowns!

Just the funniest thing to think GSP would have even the SNIFF of a chance against Silva!

When Silva wants to, he'll destroy anybody in his weight class! I have notice, though, in his last couple of fights, before knocking out Griffin(now that was embarrassing!!) he's actually toyed with his opponents through sheer boredom and wanting switch things up.

He didn't have to go the distance against Thales Leites, but a combination of Leites running and Silva not being arsed, made that a crap fight.

Like him as much as I do, GSP wouldn't have a cat in hell's chance as Silva will fight with his eyes open!!

Bigga its the fight everyone wants to see and I would love to see it happen some time soon. Who else is GSP going to fight he has dominated everyone same goes for Silva. Get the 2 most dominment men in MMA and let them go at it is what I say and we will find out who is the best p4p in the MMA world.

Fair enough, but it's ridiculous and smacks of Hatton taking on Mayweather!! The gulf in class would be ridiculous and embarrassing!

I don't think the problem would be in the class. They are dominant in their own ways. GSP is one of the best fighters in the world at neutralizing a fighter. Silva's stand up game is unmatched in MMA. GSP wouldn't stand a chance in hell and i'm sure he knows that. He would try to bring it to the ground. Silva is no slouch on the ground either, if anything his ground game is even better than his stand up (IMO).

The main problem for this fight to me is that Silva is moving up to fight Light Heavyweights, wheras GSP is moving up to Middleweight if he wants this fight. The sheer size difference would make it nearly impossible for GSP to win the fight.

Either way I don't believe GSP can win against Silva, I love GSP but I dont think he could win it. Silva is too strong and too skilled. GSP is of similar skill but just not the size to do it.
