This disorder and violence driven by racist thugs is unacceptable, but it is about time a British gov got a grip. Immigration needs to be properly managed. Starmer’s Stop the Boats is pathetic: he’ll spend a little in the countries from which it is coming and stop the boats that way,he says. No, he won’t.
If people find their local services stretched by immigration, they will be tempted to “protest.” A typical Brit problem; govs do nothing for years and then wonder why there is disorder. It will take a lot of sorting now.

Fact Check - I think you'll find that "Starmer’s Stop the Boats" actually originated last year in the UK with Rishi Sunak, and was one of several Tory three-word buzz phrases.
And even then they pinched the idea from Australia's former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who fought an election on this issue in 2013.

Had to go into Manchester yesterday (as I often do at the weekend) as my son & daughter wanted to do a little clothes shopping.
Avoided Piccadilly Gardens and mainly in the Northern Quarter (kids wanted to go into Afflecks).

Didn't see much trouble but pockets of 'wrong uns' ((you know that look and avoid eye contact) walking around the city, likely after being dispersed.
Aside from that video posted in Piccadilly gardens a few pages back, was anyone in Manchester yesterday and notice any larger gatherings?

Seems to be a collection of the standard regimented RW types with the younger road men scrotes.

There was a larger Palestinian march on Oxford Rd/St but presume there were kept well apart.
Other parts of the city seemed to be business as usual.

Surely if this a protest about immigration why dont they protest on the beaches in the south east where the migrants arrive and stop them landing.All this is an excuse to attack the police and go looting.
