Banning people for actions completely unrelated to attending football matches? I can’t see how clubs could reasonably enforce this without being accused of discrimination, ironically enough, other than to make everyone wishing to attend a match subject to a criminal records check.

You have no devine right to attend premises of a private company - same with pubs, shops etc - if they return your money with a polite fuck off and don't come back what are you gonna do. Plenty of people have football and even travel bans.

Guy in the town where I live got fucked off by Morrissons for home deliveries coz he kept abusing the drivers - lasted with Occado 2 weeks - same - no no-one, Tesco, Iceland etc will touch him. Claims he is being discriminated against and shocked to find " being a ****" is not a protected characteristic

They can indeed ban anyone they want but the issue is where do they draw the line once you start banning people for offences unrelated to football?

Do they ban anyone with a record for disorder or violent crime, or just the people who will be convicted in relation to the events of the past few days? I don’t see how they could make it work without applying a blanket ban for certain offences.

Well that'd be up to the clubs to decide, but it certainly wouldn't be 'discrimination' because it would be done on an individual basis.

We really need to see some kind of legislation around disinformation on social media. I don’t know how to do that, if I’m honest, it’s a hard problem to solve.

All I know is it should start with political institutions and corporations putting their statements out next to brazen propaganda on Twitter. It’s a tacit approval of a cancerous platform.

Grooming gangs of any persuasion are absolute scum and all deserve everything they get. My issue is that almost everyone that brings that up, invariably never gave (or gives) the first shit about those girls, which is why they’re ripe for grooming in the first place…..
