UK far right trouble

Simple fact is this is all down to the Tory policies of the last 14 years. Make the poor poorer, the rich richer, and then blame it on immigration to deflect the anger from them.

It is down to politics. And not those of the brand new government who've been handed this shit.
Question what burden of taxation would you allow? 40 50 60?
What level of income tax on middle incomes would you accept? 30 40 50?

I absolutely agree we need a government that thinks 20+ years ahead and not just over the course of the next parliament. I think it’s natural you’re going to find people are frustrated at the Tories and yes they can post here proselytising and debating the harm they’ve done. While that is going to be cathartic for many it isn’t going to fix our problems.

The Tories spent 14 years blaming Labour and I really hope we aren’t about to experience a decade plus of Labour blaming the Tories.

At some point we need to see the rubber hit the road and start fixing the bits of our society that need fixing. And that’s going to need serious policy discussion. Starting with what we do about these yobs.
Couldn’t agree more. We have structural problems that we just don’t address.

Well that'd be up to the clubs to decide, but it certainly wouldn't be 'discrimination' because it would be done on an individual basis.
The club would inevitably end up treating people with the same convictions differently, if they only considered banning the people involved in the events of the past few days.

I would guess BBC are instructed to act in a de-escalating way of reporting to not pour more oil into the fire.

It's the same principle as Police not behaving in an overly aggressive or repressive manner.

The death of the 3 young girls was kind of signal event and the best way to get control back in the streets is de-escalation.

(If anyone is interested, I found a very good 5-page analysis in German about the Duggan riots in 2011. Take it to a translator bit by bit, I think it's worth it, understanding the mechanism of riots. No paywall, left Berlin located outfit. No idea if it works in UK:)

And this obviously happened in Bristol, another black person attacked, luckily he knew ho to take care of himself. And an Asian man was prepared to step in and police was also at hand. This is really turning into proper bigotry turned to nativism turned to full blown racism. And all while Stop The Oil activists are found guilty and jailed for years by the judges constantly prodded by the likes of GB News and Talk TV.
Starmer should really double down on this lot.

They all look the same - is the comment you get from the 50 year old shaven headed shorts clad right wing thugs who have clearly never seen their own collective reflection in a shop window

That's not a simple question, and it comes into how to fix things. I've no idea about that, I'll admit I'm not clever enough. You also need to decide how and where to use that money, obviously.

It's how i am in my job tbh, good at identifying problems, but not necessarily good at fixing them. I just seen too many confounding variables everywhere.
